Hello Rocket Band Community

Mr.G would like to thank the Kennedy Rocket Band Community for welcoming him into their program. Today will be the last post Mr.G gives because he will be moving to the Young Men's Leadership Academy. He will be their new Head Director of Bands for this new program.
Thank you to the Senior Class of 2020 for working with me in my first year here at Kennedy and accepting the challenges I placed in front of you.
Thank you to the Senior Class of 2021 for making a huge effort and trust that we would keep you safe throughout the band year at rehearsals and performances. Your passion to finish the year strong was shared down to the under classman.
Thank you to the future Class of 2022 for keeping the band going when it wanted to stop this year. Please take that grit and use it in your Senior your to have a great year.
To my first freshman class and future Class of 2023...you were a small class but a talented class of musicians. Please keep growing your skills and knowledge over the next 2 years and have PRIDE in all that you do.
To my Covid Freshman...future Class of 2024. You came in strong and worked hard all year long. Your work ethic, pride and most of all...your ability to over come obstacles that might have prevented you form being successful is amazing! Let the next 3 years of band be just as good and or better as you become leaders in the program.
Last but not least...band parents thank you for being there for the students when time allowed. Your care and willingness to do a job that is...like a second job is tough but you did a great job. Let this coming year be a new chapter to the booster organization and may you welcome new members to the Rocket Band Boosters.
Remember band...IT IS YOUR BAND! Your attitude and work ethic dictate the direction of the ship. Work together to create beautiful memories, friendships, moments and most of build a family that will be there for each other.

Thank you band boosters and students for a great day at your pic nic. It was good to see so many smiles and hear so many laughs. The last year and half has been a challenge and you have been able to move forward. Moving forward is always better than moving backwards or choosing to not move at all. As we get ready to finish the school year and prepare for next marching season physically and mentally...keep smiling because we have made it through some of the darkness. Now it is time to move and hold our heads high because we are THE MIGHTY ROCKET BAND FROM ROCKET LAND!

Hello band
Rehearsal for Tuesday after school is canceled. We want to make sure we are out of the band hall by 330pm. It is Memorials graduation and the band hall is being used for graduation.
We will practice on Thursday...4 to 530pm

Hello Rocket Band Community
The band boosters are having a band picnic tomorrow at 4pm at the pavilion behind the school.
The event is open to all band kids who were in band this year. Hope to see everyone there...the boosters have worked hard and look forward to celebrating with you.
