The Spiritual Purpose Behind Commitment

In ancient Indian texts, marriage was never viewed as just a romantic or social contract. It was considered a rigorous spiritual path. Could a spiritual skill be love or compassion? Could it be the ability to relate to other people? Could it be the ability to stay present and live in the moment? Could it be the skill to really listen to someone?

I think it's important that we see all human skills as spiritual. Is it's a talent and you love to do whatever it is that you do, and it brings you into the present moment, into flow, you are spirited. Isn't that spirituality?
