Building Capacity, Not Just Skills: Strengthening Early Childhood Intervention Capability Across Sarawak
Over 15 intensive and highly collaborative days, 30 Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) Assistants from OSEIC and across Sarawak came together to take part in a program designed to go beyond traditional training.
Delivered by the Australian Institute of Technology Transfer (AITT), and hosted by PIBAKAT and Yayasan Sime Darby under the guidance of the Ministry of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development (KPWK), this initiative focused on building long-term sector capability not just individual skills.
Participants worked together to develop shared ECI frameworks, strengthen family-centred and culturally responsive practice, and co-create tools designed to support real-world implementation across diverse Sarawak communities.
This program reflects what is possible when government, sector leaders, and international expertise come together with a shared purpose: improving long-term outcomes for children and families.
AITT is proud to continue supporting workforce capability, system strengthening, and sustainable sector development across the region.
