Peace be with you. Peace to all mankind. Isn't that what we always wanted? π
United with Pope Leo XIV in praying for peaceβlifting our hearts to God, standing in solidarity with all who suffer, and echoing the Churchβs unwavering call to end violence and restore justice. May our prayer become a witness to hope, and our lives instruments of reconciliation.
Let us join Pope Leo in praying for peaceβ-
Lord Jesus,
you conquered death
without weapons or violence:
you shattered its power
with the strength of peace.
Grant us your peace,
as you did to the women
filled with doubt on Easter morning,
as you did to the disciples
who were hiding in fear.
Send forth your Spirit,
the breath that gives life and reconciles,
that turns adversaries and enemies
into brothers and sisters.
Inspire in us to trust in Mary, your mother,
who stood at the foot of your cross
with a broken heart,
firm in the faith that you would rise again.
May the madness of war cease
and the Earth be cared for
and cultivated by those who still know
how to bring forth, protect and love life.
Hear us, Lord of life!

'I WILL CONTINUE TO SPEAK OUT LOUDLY AGAINST WAR'
Pope Leo XIV told Reuters on Monday that he plans to continue speaking out against war after US President Donald Trump's direct βattack on the leader of the 1.4-billion-member Church.
In comments aboard the papal flight to Algiers, where the first US pope is starting a 10-day tour to four African countries, the pontiff also said the Christian message was being "abused".
"I don't want to get into a debate with β him," Leo told Reuters as he greeted journalists on the plane. "I don't think that the message of the Gospel is meant to be abused in the way that some people are doing."
"I will continue to speak out loudly against war, looking to promote peace, promoting dialogue and multilateral relationships among the states to look for just solutions to problems," he said, speaking on English."Too many people are suffering in the world today," said Leo. "Too many innocent βpeople β are being killed. And I think someone has to stand up and say there's a better way."
"The message of the church, my message, the message of the Gospel: Blessed are the Peacemakers. I do not look at my role as β being political, a politician," he said.
Leo, originally from Chicago, has emerged as an outspoken critic of the US-Israeli war on Iran in recent weeks and decried the "madness of β war" on in a peace appeal on Saturday.
Trump, in an apparent response to the pope's criticisms of both the conflict and the White House's β hard-line immigration policies, said late on Sunday that Leo was "terrible".
"Pope Leo is WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. | via Reuters

A Reflection for This Season
Renewal often happens in the "hidden" placesβlike a seed beneath the soil. Even if you don't see massive changes immediately, trust that the work being done in your spirit is real and foundational. Faith isn't a sprint; it's the quiet persistence of turning toward the Light, day after day. πβοΈ
