🌟 Thursday – Fun Activity Day at BINAE Education System 🌟

Today was a very special day for our students.

At BINAE, we arranged a Storytelling Session where each student shared a story with their classmates. Every child actively participated and listened to each other with full interest.

This time, our visually impaired students took the lead. They selected their own stories and confidently narrated them in front of everyone.

The main purpose of this activity was to:
✔ Improve knowledge and learning
✔ Build confidence in students
✔ Help them express themselves in front of others
✔ Encourage independent thinking and communication skills

It was truly inspiring to see students speaking with confidence and sharing their thoughts so beautifully.

At BINAE, we believe every child has a voice — and we help them use it with confidence. ✨

A Story Day session will be conducted in the coming Thursday’s class. Kindly inform students in advance that anyone who wishes to participate may prepare a story and present it in class. Teachers will select the participants and finalize the titles and names. Please ensure that all stories are sensible and appropriate.

🌊✨ Cleaning Shores, Breaking Barriers✨🌊

In a powerful step towards environmental responsibility and true inclusion, BINAE Welfare Association proudly organized a beach cleaning activity that went far beyond just protecting our coastline, it celebrated unity, purpose, and collective action.

Our visually impaired students led from the front, participating with incredible enthusiasm and determination, proving that impact is driven by will, not limitations. 💙

This initiative was made even more meaningful through the generous collaboration of Rotary Club of Roshni Karachi and Rotary Club of Karachi, whose unwavering support turned this into a truly inclusive experience. Students from BINAE and Roshni Public School, representing both visually impaired and sighted communities, came together as one team, one mission.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Sadaf, President of Rotary Club of Roshni Karachi, and Ms. Naila, President of Rotary Club of Karachi, for standing shoulder to shoulder with their dedicated teams and making this initiative a remarkable success.

Together, we didn’t just clean a beach, we strengthened the spirit of inclusion, compassion, and shared responsibility. 🌍🤝

How To Interact With Persons With Disabilities

---

DO'S
Speak assistance, but wait including acceptance: Offer help but wait for the person to accept it before acting.
Listen attentively and be patient: Give the person your full attention and do not rush them.
Describe surroundings for visual impairment: Provide clear verbal descriptions of the environment for those who cannot see.
Use "person-first" language: Focus on the individual rather than the disability (e.g., "person who uses a wheelchair").

---

DON'TS

Don't make assumptions: Avoid assuming what a person can or cannot do.
Don't touch their equipment without permission: Never touch wheelchairs, canes, or other assistive devices without being asked.
Don't complete their sentences: Let the person finish speaking at their own pace.
Don't use offensive or outdated terms: Use respectful and modern language when referring to disabilities.
Don't lean on their wheelchair: Respect personal space and assistive equipment.

Closing Statement
Empathy, Respect & Understanding. Build an Inclusive Community.
