In the µMet Lab we conduct state-of-the-art research while having fun! Accordingly, our research focuses on both natural and agricultural environments.

Our research themes revolve around the exchange of heat, water and momentum across the soil-plant-atmosphere continuum in the Earth’s Critical Zone. These complex processes regulate the natural habitat and determine the availability of life-sustaining resources, including food production and water quality. Our toolbox comprises both field experiments utilizing state-of-the-art micro-meteorological instrumentation and modeling approaches.
