A Proud Victory for BSHM – PSU Brooke’s Point Campus!

We are beyond proud to share that our Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management students emerged as CHAMPION 🥇 and 2nd Runner up🥈 in the 2026 Coco Culinary and Delicacies Contest of Pista’y ang Kanyugan, Brooke’s Point Palawan.

Not only did both teams dominate the competition, they also brought home special recognitions:
🥥 Best Main Dish
🥤 Best Beverage

This achievement is a testament to the students’ creativity, teamwork, and passion for showcasing the rich potential of coconut in culinary arts.

As a meaningful gesture of giving back, all prizes received, including burners, LPG tanks, and regulators (complete gas stove sets)—will be donated to the BSHM Laboratory to support future learning and culinary excellence.

A milestone worth celebrating!

Nearly one year after its publication in May 2025, the research titled “Employers’ Feedback on Hospitality Management Graduates from Palawan State University: A Mixed-Methods Study” continues to make an impact in the academic community.

We are proud and grateful to share that our study has already been cited by researchers from different parts of the world. This achievement reflects the relevance and contribution of our work in strengthening the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program, particularly in aligning graduate competencies with industry expectations.

What makes this accomplishment even more meaningful is the strong collaboration behind it, this study was made possible through the partnership of a faculty member and student researchers. Ms. Trisha Mae Dela Cruz and Ms. Mylyn Del Monte, both students, worked hand in hand with their instructor, proving that collaboration between faculty and students can create a meaningful and lasting impact on the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program of Palawan State University, Brooke’s Point Campus.
