Moving as "One Dayhagan," the Dayhagan National High School community officially united for the new academic year during its First General PTA Meeting and Orientation today, June 11, 2026. The program opened with a prayer by Ms. Adeline G. Castillo (T-III), a nationalistic song by the SSLG Officers, and an attendance check by Mrs. Myrna A. Mesana (T-VI). After a warm welcome from Mr. Chris John G. Tenorio (HT-IV), Principal III Dr. Cecilia L. Tafalla introduced the Junior and Senior High School faculty.

The orientation focused heavily on student welfare, school policies, and academic frameworks. PTA President Pastor Bobby Orongan and Barangay Captain Rodrigo Fabregas Jr. delivered solidarity messages reinforcing the vital link between home and local government. Guidance Designate Mrs. Jonelyn S. De Chavez (T-II) discussed the campus Code of Conduct, while Mr. Dennis S. Sotomayor (HT-III) detailed the latest academic updates under DepEd Order 009, S. 2026. Mrs. Gloria I. Beo (T-V) then outlined the Senior High School strengthened curriculum, before Dr. Tafalla returned to the stage to reinforce core Department of Education mandates.

The event concluded with an interactive Open Forum, giving parents an open floor to clarify schedules, requirements, and safety policies directly with school heads. Mrs. Ella A. Gabayno (T-II and Faculty Club President) closed the morning by thanking the community for their active participation and shared commitment. Masters of ceremonies Sir Lemar P. Layam and Ma'am Emmaruth Famorcan smoothly facilitated the entire assembly, setting a collaborative tone for the school year ahead.

Congratulations to our winners at the District English and Filipino Read-a-thon held last January 7, 2026, at Kaligtasan National High School.

Jasmine F. Francisco and Mikhaela A. Fajutagana (Grade 10 SSC Neptune) bagged 2nd Place in the Advocacy Pitch, while Lian M. Gangga (Grade 10 St. Benedict) earned 5th Place in Videokasiya.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our school head, Dr. Cecilia L. Tafalla (Principal II), Mr. Chris John G. Tenorio (Head Teacher IV), and Mr. Dennis S. Sotomayor (Head Teacher III).
