Constructionarium Australia is aimed in developing practically minded engineers for the workforce through collaborative education

Let’s break it down...

We’ve grilled some of the engineers who happily deconstructed the ‘Son of Story’ – the 24m replica of the Story Bridge constructed during Constructionarium Australia two years ago.

Find out what they had to say in the coming days when we share their responses here.

End of the Story…

It wasn’t your typical tale – full of twists and turns and a crane or two, but it came to a very satisfying conclusion when the talented team of young engineers taking part in Constructionarium Australia successfully deconstructed a Brissie icon. It took them just days to dismantle ‘Son of Story’ – the 24m replica of the Story Bridge built during Constructionarium Australia in 2017.

Well done team!

So, we’re halfway through the Story…

How does it end? We’ll find out tomorrow when the 24m Story Bridge replica is fully deconstructed by the skilled team of young engineers taking part in Constructionarium Australia.

Steel yourself…

There’s nothing civil about this engineering job, as a team of young engineers taking part in Constructionarium Australia get ready to pull apart one of Brissie’s most famous icons – piece by piece.

Constructionarium gives early career engineers the practical skills to construct the future, by exposing them to a realistic but safe construction project.

The deconstruction of the 24m Story Bridge replica, built during Constructionarium Australia 2017, starts Monday 13th May.

Don’t miss the destruction of the ‘Son of Story’ – follow us so you don’t miss a thing.

Adjust your travel plans – the Story Bridge is coming down!

And what’s more, it will only take a talented team from the Constructionarium Australia program four days to do the job.

No explosives are required – just skill, team work and collaboration to take apart, piece by piece, the 24m replica of Brisbane’s most iconic bridge, built by Constructionarium Australia teams in 2017.

The deconstruction begins Monday 13th May. Be sure to say tuned as we watch tomorrow’s engineers prove the age-old adage that what goes up must come down!
