The Refined Word Tutoring Service I provide academic coaching, writing/editing support, instruction in textual analysis, and research.

I am a retired English teacher with over 30 years of experience in helping students to become clearer thinkers, astute readers, and engaging writers. In addition to my work in the classroom, my prior training as a writer and editor for corporate clients sharpened my ability to help adult writers clearly and cogently express ideas in a voice that is uniquely theirs. Above all, in my professional and personal endeavors it has been the big ideas that captivate, the refined words that stimulate, and the well-told stories that elevate which are the lotus blossoms of the mind that have nourished my romance with the God of all wonders.
