Meet our vice president, Gabrielle Berry!

Hi, my name is Gabrielle. I am a 3rd year dental student at THE Ohio State University. I was born and raised here in Columbus, but left for undergrad and my MPH. I went to DePaul University in Chicago for undergrad and then got my MPH from George Washington University, before coming back home to Columbus. My goal is to specialize in public health dentistry and eventually work as a dentist in a correctional facility. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, hanging out with friends and family, and baking. Fun facts: I haven’t had fast food in almost 12 years and I have been swimming with sharks. I serve as the Vice President for AAPHD. I’m excited to see what positive impact we can make on the Greater Columbus Area.

Meet our President, Linda Tran! Linda is a 4th-year dental student at the OSU College of Dentistry.

I am a first-generation Vietnamese born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. I moved to Columbus to pursue dental hygiene at Columbus State Community College. I continued at OSU to earn my BS in dental hygiene. I was fortunate to start DentPath in 2018 and continue my dental journey. I plan to contribute to my community in the public health setting as this is where I received my dental care growing up. Being able to inspire people who might have a similar upbringing as me with refugee parents, is a goal of mine.

Why AAPHD?
I really wanted to create diverse opportunities for dental students to grow and contribute to our local community with an added bonus of educating the CoD of public health needs.

Hello! My name is Chris Arias. I am a 4th-year dental student at The Ohio State University. I serve as the Secretary for the AAPHD organization. Fun facts about me: I was born in South Florida, I got married last year and have my first child on the way this Winter! In my sparetime I enjoy hangout out with my 3-year-old golden retriever Lola, traveling with my wife, and cheering on Ohio State Football!
