From both a personal experience - I’ve run almost everything from an 800 on the track to a marathon on the roads…and had all the common running injuries! 🥲
…to professional experience - I have 5+ year of experience working with track & field, cross country athletes of all levels, from AAU to Team USA. 🏃🏼♂️🇺🇸
My goal is to try and bring some of my knowledge and experience to all of you!

Have you heard of the term myofascial “sling”? (also know as line, train, etc).
What are they and what are they made up of? What do they do? How do they function in your body? How can they effect your risk for injury and/or overall performance?
All these questions and more will be answered over the next few weeks in our Myofascial Sling series!

-what are some movement dysfunctions with each sling?

Reactive or Proactive?
How would you rate yourself in your daily life? Do you look ahead? Trying to get ahead of the curve or prevent any issues that may occur? Or do you sit back and just wait and hope?
Why in health and fitness (really medicine overall), do we choose to be REACTIVE? We wait for sickness to occur, injures to happen.
Your body is an amazing thing, and it finds ways to compensate for all kinds of flaws (i.e., muscular imbalances, previous injures, congenital conditions).
However, why not get PROACTIVE? If we know that the ability to move properly and having at least a certain level strength and power are shown to decrease the overall risk of injury…why do we still choose to be reactive?
Here at , we are looking to help change that mindset in everyone from the average weekend warrior to elite level athletes!
