Yoga is for Everybody!!

Happy September! As the summer season is slowly turning into autumn what would you like to make into new healthy habits?
💥Maybe you want to expand your yoga teaching
💥maybe you want to practice more self care
💥Maybe you would like to begin a daily yoga and or meditation practice
💥Maybe you would like to learn a yoga asana that is challenging for you
The best way to begin is to start small and build as you go. For example if you wanted to do a daily yoga meditation start 5-10 minutes each day and as you practice more build up to an hour or even more
Don't be frustrated if things don't go as planned if you miss a day or maybe even a week don't be critical of yourself just start back where you left off.
Make small goals and reward yourself for keeping them. Rewards don't always have to be food based either you can treat yourself to a mani pedi or spend a day curled up with your favorite book. Whatever makes you happy 😊
The main idea is to show up for yourself as you would for someone else. Give your idea credit and the same dedication as you do to others ideas. If you have a setback , be kind to yourself and don't give up! 🩵

Week1 Pose of the week Mountain Pose
(Tadasana)
It may look as though it is simply standing, but there is more to mountain pose than first meets the eye
Mountain pose strengthens your ankles, knees, quads, abs and helps straighten your spine
Mountain Pose is often used as a meditative pose (you can try this while standing in line at the grocery!) and as a transitional pose during yoga practice.
For an advance in the pose you can reach your hands above your head leaning your head slightly back creating a small backbend.

Happy New Year and Welcome ! A quick introduction if you dont know me, my name is Michelle ,I have a RYT200 Which is a 200 hour yoga teacher certification and am currently studying for an additional 300 hour certification.
Most of the time I talk to someone about yoga they believe that they can't do yoga because the aren't flexible enough, I hope to teach that this simply isn't true! I started doing yoga in my 40s I was out of shape and not flexible at all! Practicing yoga has taught me flexibility and core strength which are both beneficial as we age.
I will be posting a pose of the week in which we will learn an asana or pose safe ways to come in and out of the pose and any modifications that can help you get the benefit of the pose and also other info to help you learn the basics of yoga
I am very excited to be here with you and share what I have learned with you. My hope is that you will gain an understanding maybe even a love for yoga!
Namaste

Tonight is the last full moon of 2021. Just as the moon affects the tides of the water, our bodies are over 60%water and are also affected by the tides.
The full moon is a time of "super charged" energy it is a time of release of all that no longer serves us and clears space for all that serves our greater good.
Manifestion of positive vibrations such as" I feel supported by the universe" "I allow my heart to be open to recieve blessings, love and abundance" "I am full of endless potential" The best practice for a full moon would be a yin or restorative yoga sequence
