Annual Research Review 2024 – BOEHM CSSE The Boehm Center for Systems and Software Engineering is hosting a 3-day online forum April 16-18. In keeping with Dr Boehm’s areas of interest, we are soliciting presentations from those in academia, industry, and government, especially from those involved in systems and software engineering.

The Boehm Center for Systems and Software Engineering is excited to announce the ARR 2024 online forum. This event continues Dr. Boehm's legacy, focusing on innovation and knowledge exchange in the field.

Introducing our keynote speaker for the 2023 International COCOMO & PSM Forum:

Dr. Ricardo Valerdi is a Professor at The University of Arizona and Head of the Department of Systems and Industrial Engineering. He is also the University of Arizona’s Faculty Athletics Representative to the NCAA and Pac-12. His research focuses on systems engineering, cost estimation, and sports analytics. He is a Fellow of INCOSE - International Council on Systems Engineering and a member of the Mexican Academy of Engineering. He received a Ph.D. in Industrial & Systems Engineering under Barry Boehm’s tutelage at The University of Southern California.

Dr. Valerdi’s talk will present the counterintuitive challenges in decision-making within measurement, revealing how seemingly straightforward decisions can sometimes be quite the opposite.
