【小澤征爾音楽塾オペラ・プロジェクトXXI 「椿姫」大喝采のうちに閉幕】
Seiji Ozawa Music Academy Opera Project XXI "La traviata" Brings the Curtain Down to Thunderous Applause
2000年の立ち上げから今年で四半世紀を迎えた小澤征爾音楽塾。ヴェルディ：歌劇「椿姫」オペラ・プロジェクトXXIの「椿姫」3月22日の東京公演をもって、ROHM CLASSIC SPECIAL─その25年の歴史の幕を下ろしました。たくさんの皆さまのご来場をありがとうございました。
これまで、オペラ・プロジェクトは21回、オーケストラ・プロジェクト/特別公演は6回を数え、国内のみならず、中国、台湾、韓国などアジア諸国でのオーディションによって選ばれた優秀な若い音楽家たちが、小澤征爾が絶大な信頼を寄せるサイトウ・キネン・ オーケストラのメンバーをはじめとする演奏家から指導を受け、その成果をオペラやオーケストラ公演で実践してまいりました。これまで音楽塾で学んだ塾生たちの数は約2,000人（オーケストラ、副指揮、合唱、カヴァーキャストを含む）にもおよび、その多くが音楽界の第一線で活躍しています。中には、コンクールで上位入賞を果たしソリストとして活動する者や、国内外のオーケストラでコンサートマスターや首席奏者として活躍する者も少なくありません。25年にわたり小澤征爾音楽塾は、音楽界を担う人材を育成する場としての役割を果たしてまいりました。これまでの活動への温かいご声援とご支援に心より感謝申し上げます。
この夏も例年通り小澤征爾音楽塾オーケストラはセイジ・オザワ 松本フェスティバルでの「子どものためのオペラ」や「子どものための音楽会」などに出演いたします。小澤征爾音楽塾の今後の活動については、皆さまに改めてお知らせいたします。

Since its founding in 2000, the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary this year. With the final performance of Verdi’s opera “La traviata” held on March 22 in Tokyo, the curtain closed on the ROHM CLASSIC SPECIAL, concluding a remarkable chapter in the Academy’s history. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who attended and supported this milestone season.
Over the past 25 years, the Academy has presented 21 Opera Projects and 6 Orchestra Projects/Special Concerts. Through auditions held not only in Japan but also across Asia—including China, Taiwan, and South Korea—talented young musicians have been selected to participate. These musicians received intensive training from leading artists, including members of the Saito Kinen Orchestra, in whom Seiji Ozawa has long placed his trust. The results of this training have been brought to life through professional-level opera and orchestral performances.
To date, the Academy has welcomed approximately 2,000 participants, including orchestra members, assistant conductors, chorus singers, and cover cast members. Many of them are now active on the front lines of the music world—some as prize-winning soloists, others as concertmasters or principal players in top orchestras in Japan and abroad. For the past 25 years, the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy has fulfilled its mission of nurturing the next generation of leading musicians. This has been made possible thanks to the extraordinary support and encouragement we have received throughout our journey. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported our work over the years.
Looking ahead, the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy Orchestra is scheduled to perform at this summer’s Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival, participating in educational programs such as Opera for Children and Concert for Children.
Details on future activities of the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy will be announced in due course.
