Empowering youth is our passion!

The WDN Youth Justice Leaders met last night to read and discuss The 1619 Project, analyzing how Black Americans “fit into” the history of the United States. It was an empowering meeting led by We Are Just Write founders Josie Hall and Andrea Wayne. Youth are not just the future; they are the present. This year’s cohort is comprised of 25 students in grades 9-12 who are courageous, powerful, and standing up against injustices. We can’t wait to see what these young leaders can do!

We are soooo excited to launch our 7 month long Youth Program! We are looking for participants, grades 9-12, who will commit to meeting virtually 2 Wednesdays a month. They will learn history, leadership and it all culminates in a service activity or project of their choosing and awards ceremony at the Womens Diversity Summit. Please read for details!
