A Night of Gratitude: Honoring the Hands That Raised Us

March 25, 2026 became a truly unforgettable evening at the Brgy. Gymnasium of Runruno, Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya, as the graduating Senior High School learners of Runruno National High School, together with their families, gathered for a celebration filled with elegance, joy, and heartfelt appreciation.

The program was thoughtfully composed of three meaningful parts:
The night opened with the Thanksgiving Service, led by Pastor Marvin Adap, where gratitude was expressed through prayers, hymns, and messagesโ€”recognizing the unwavering guidance and blessings that shaped the studentsโ€™ journey.

This was followed by the Tribute to Parents, the heart of the celebration. Through heartfelt messages, dances, and the giving of tokens, students honored the sacrifices, love, and support of their parents and guardians. It was a touching moment that highlighted the deep bond between families.

The evening culminated with the End-of-School-Year Rites Socialization Night, where students expressed their confidence, creativity, and individuality. The celebration came alive through performances, dances, and games, fostering camaraderie and joy. Special awards were also given to students who stood out in elegance, poise, and styleโ€”celebrating not just appearance, but confidence and self-expression.

More than just a program, the entire evening shone like a starโ€”reflecting the excellence, dedication, and inspiring leadership of the student leaders who made the event truly remarkable.

The event was made even more inspiring by the message of our guest speaker, Ms. Marizel A. Reyes, RSWโ€”MSWD Officer and proud alumna (Batch 2013), who reminded everyone of the value of gratitude, resilience, and honoring the hands that raised us.
We also extend our deepest appreciation to our School Principal, Sir Arvee Glen P. Abellera, EdD, for his unwavering support and leadership.

Likewise, our heartfelt gratitude is extended to the MLGU Quezon, headed by Honorable Anabelle Mae B. Binwag, and the BLGU Runruno, headed by Honorable John M. Babli-ing, for their invaluable support and contribution to the success of this event. We also sincerely thank all individuals and groups who, in one way or another, shared their time, effort, and resources in making this celebration possible.

Indeed, it was not just a celebrationโ€”but a night of reflection, recognition, and gratitude that will forever be cherished in the hearts of the graduating learners. โœจ๐Ÿฅฐโค๏ธ๐Ÿซฐ

๐ŸŒ™ Holiday Announcement: Eidโ€™l Fitr โ€“ March 20, 2026 ๐ŸŒ™

This Friday, March 20, 2026, the Philippines will observe a regular nationwide holiday in celebration of Eidโ€™l Fitr, also known as the Festival of Breaking the Fast.

๐Ÿ”Ž What is Eidโ€™l Fitr?
Eidโ€™l Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, prayer, and reflection observed by Muslims worldwide. The celebration begins after the sighting of the new moon, symbolizing renewal and gratitude. It is one of the two major Islamic festivals, alongside Eidโ€™l Adha.

During this day, families gather for morning prayers, share festive meals, and extend acts of charity known as Zakat al-Fitr, ensuring that everyoneโ€”especially those in needโ€”can join in the joy of the occasion.

๐Ÿ“Œ Why is it a Regular Holiday?
By law and tradition, Eidโ€™l Fitr is recognized as a regular holiday in the Philippines. This means:
- Work and school are suspended nationwide.
- Employees are entitled to holiday pay under labor regulations.
- Communities across the country, especially in Muslim-majority areas, will hold celebrations and gatherings.

๐Ÿ’ก Trivia
Did you know that Eidโ€™l Fitr is sometimes called the โ€œFestival of Sweetsโ€? After a month of fasting, families prepare and enjoy traditional dessertsโ€”from dates to rice cakesโ€”as symbols of joy, gratitude, and togetherness.

โ€œToday we pause from our daily routines to honor faith, family, and tradition. Eidโ€™l Fitr reminds us of the values of compassion, generosity, and unity. May this day bring peace, blessings, and harmony to every home. โ€

Ani ng Sining: Katotohanan at Giting
National Arts Month | Pebrero 25, 2026 |

The recently concluded symposium was a resounding success, made possible through the tireless efforts of the organizing committee and the invaluable contributions of our esteemed speakers from the Philippine National Police (PNP), who enlightened us on pressing issues such as Cyberbullying, R**e Awareness, and Drug Awareness.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jubert Cyrus Cadiente, Municipal Councilor, and Arvee Glen P. Abellera, Secondary School Principal I, for their inspiring messages and unwavering support for this initiative.

We also sincerely thank Hon. Annabelle Mae B. Binwag, Municipal Mayor, who was duly represented by Maโ€™am Mayen Pasigian, for her continued guidance and commitment to programs that promote awareness and community development.

Their leadership and dedication to fostering a safe, informed, and empowered community are truly commendable.

The symposium served as a vital platform for raising awareness and encouraging collective action against these social concerns. We deeply appreciate the active participation of all attendees and look forward to continued collaboration in our shared mission to educate and empower our community.
