What a beautiful recital day! 🎶

This year felt extra special—not only did my piano students shine, but I also had the joy of featuring some of my vocal students for the first time! 🎶 💛

Everyone shared laughter, nerves, and even a few tears as heartfelt songs moved us all. I’m so proud of each student who poured their heart into their music. What a gift it is to witness their growth and passion. I love what I do because of YOU! 🌟🎹🎤

A few couldn’t make it but will hopefully be there for the Christmas recital 🌲

Late post! I can’t believe I forgot to share our annual Christmas recital 🎄🎵 🌟

So proud of these students 👏🏼 We had our recital on December 1 — what a way to kick off the Christmas season 🎹 They loved doing the secret Santa gift exchange at the end too 🎁

Already looking forward to our spring recital!

H O M E S C H O O L M U S I C L E S S O N S — a great start!! 🎶

Our homeschool music lessons kicked off with great success, and we’re excited to offer an introductory **$15 discount!**

Sessions are just $30/hour, with an additional $5 off for families enrolling more than one child. Regular price is $45/hour.

In this class, students will explore:
• Music theory fundamentals
• The role of music in daily life
• Piano keys and note identification 🎹
• Ear training
• Sight-reading
• Technique development
• Rhythm exercises
…and much more 🙌🏼

This group is designed for children ages 10-12, and there is one spot remaining!

We are also considering offering a new group for ages 7-9 on Tuesday or Friday mornings from 9:30-10:30 AM, starting in October.

The annual spring recital is in the books! As usual, I am SO proud of all of my students. We missed those who could not be there (I’m always competing with sport games and dance recitals 😅) but it was still a great turn out and everyone did a tremendous job! 👏🏼 My favorite was the father-daughter duet at the end. I love working with families!

I’ll see you all at our Christmas recital… that will be here before we know it 🎹

Making Melodies Music Christmas Recital 2023 🎵

We had a wonderful Christmas recital on Dec 2 🎹 Although we were missing several students, we had the BEST time. The kids especially enjoyed doing the Secret Santa gifts 🎁 Thanks to Faith Lutheran Church for allowing us to rent the building again this year! They have been so kind over the last 2 years.

We also had our youngest performer, 10 month old Kylie Self 😉

This is the last week of lessons for 2023. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas break and I’ll see you in the new year 🎉

Making Melodies Christmas Recital is in the books ✔️ SO proud of all my students!! Christmas songs can be tough to play but they ALL practiced hard and did such a great job.

Annual Making Melodies Music Spring Recital was a success! I am so proud of all my students. They all did an awesome job 👏🏼 It’s crazy to think that we are missing 18 students! Hopefully they can join us for our Christmas Recital this year 🎹 🎶

A special should out to the three students who received special awards: Caylee Anderson, Lucy Cartier, and Sarah Palmer!
