It’s almost time for our Annual Showcase Event!
The COVID-19 pandemic has placed immense stress on low-income communities and the charity health organizations that care for them - and we at Second Opinions are incredibly proud to show how we have have risen to that challenge.
Second Opinions has had a remarkably successful year with a 40% increase in project load, strong medical student involvement from all classes, and a grand total of 9 completed projects.
The Annual Showcase will include an overview of our community health work this past year and will feature presentations on three specific projects: Chicago Women's Health Center, Lurie Mobile Health Program, and the Illinois and Wisconsin Associations of Free & Charitable Clinics.
Our goal is to provide a glimpse into our organization and work – work that we believe is both informative and compelling for medical students looking to explore the intersection of community health and the business of medicine.
