With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Professor Enrique B. Batara, PhD, our beloved Sir Iking. More than a colleague, he was a cherished friend, an inspiring mentor, and a guiding light for us all.

We’re honored to host Dr. Robert Mikac from the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, for a productive academic visit at MSU-IIT on January 29-30, 2026.

Dr. Mikac engaged with our Political Science students through an insightful guest lecture, sparking meaningful discourse on global governance and political trends, particularly in the EU zone. Beyond the classroom, he met with the faculty of the Department of Political Science and colleagues from the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) to explore strategic collaborations and research partnerships. He also had a meaningful courtesy visit at the Office of the Chancellor .
