We couldn't choose a favorite, so last week we went out KAYAKING and SWIMMING and SAILING and ROCK CLIMBING and CYCLING all across the DMV for our multi-sport day camp.

For our next act we'll do it all simultaneously 👀

No pudimos elegir una actividad favorita, así que la semana pasada salimos a practicar KAYAK, NADAR, NAVEGAR, ESCALAR y ANDAR EN BICICLETA por toda la región del DMV para nuestro campamento diurno multideportivo.

Para nuestra próxima actividad, haremos todo eso al mismo tiempo 👀

Wilderness Kids students and staff enjoyed receiving a GIANT CHECK for $26,000 from the incredible folks at the American Water Charitable Fund just before our summer sailing outing with the (also incredible) folks at Washington Sailing Marina. Thanks to AWCF for funding all of our water-based programming for the next year--waterfall exploring, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, swim lessons and more!

We better cash this big check before it gets wet!

Los alumnos y el personal de Wilderness Kids disfrutaron al recibir un CHEQUE GIGANTE por 26 000 dólares de la increíble gente del American Water Charitable Fund justo antes de nuestra salida de verano a navegar con la (también increíble) gente de Washington Sailing Marina. ¡Gracias a AWCF por financiar todos nuestros programas acuáticos para el próximo año: exploración de cascadas, navegación a vela, kayak, canotaje, clases de natación y mucho más!

Save the Date! The fourth annual Wilderness Kids Alexandria Community Music Festival will take place on Sunday September 27, and you don’t want to miss it! Pat Miller Square, in the heart of Del Ray, will be buzzing with arts and crafts, games, and live music from our favorite upcoming and iconic local bands.

Earlier this month, over the course of two days Wilderness Kids staff gathered to share ideas, experiences, and practices around outdoor education at our annual staff training. Now they are all ready to jump into a summer packed with adventure, fun, and learning!
