The Well Homeschool Community This page is for homeschool events organized throughout the year and awareness of The Well Homeschool Community centered in La Grange, Texas.

At The Well, our desire is to encourage parents and caregivers to seek the Lord in parenting and in educating those they are charged with; raising children to honor God with their lives. The Well meets once a week at a local church from late August through May for family style learning in Science, Art, Bible, and Presentations. We will also go on multiple educational field trips throughout the year. If you would like more information, please message us.

✨ WEEK 6 AT THE WELL ✨

Another full Friday at The Well! 💛

This week in Bible we learned about baptism and the ministry of Paul in Acts 19, while Science explored metals, nonmetals, and the families of the periodic table. 🧪

In Fine Art, we studied Wayne Thiebaud’s Cakes, while our speaking classes practiced using descriptive words, sharing interesting objects from home, and learning how to disagree respectfully. 🎨🎤

Our electives were full of fun too! Students practiced Bible drills, learned some new skills in Lessons with Dad: Guitar, created rag rugs, and learned ASL, while our teenagers continued working together on the yearbook. 🎸🧶🤟

So thankful for all the different ways these kids get to learn, create, serve, and grow together each week. 🌿

✨ WEEK 5 AT THE WELL ✨

Another sweet Friday together at The Well! 💛

This week we continued through Acts with Paul in Corinth, explored elements and the periodic table in Science, and studied the colorful cityscapes of James Rizzi in Fine Art. 🧪🎨

Our students shared their favorite books, practiced organizing speeches with a clear beginning, middle, and end, and our Theta students worked on the art of great conversations. 🎤

We also had the opportunity to participate in See You at the Pole, gathering together as a community to pray for our students, families, schools, and nation. What a gift to see our kids coming together in prayer! 🙏

Another week of learning, friendship, and growing together. 💛

✨ WEEK 3 AT THE WELL ✨

Another sweet Friday of learning, creating, and growing together! 💛

This week we continued through Acts 16 with the story of Paul & Silas in prison, while also continuing our hymn study of ’Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus and memorizing Romans 12:1–8.

Our artists explored Mary Blair’s colorful Cinderella Castle concept art, while our scientists experimented with density, mass, volume, and sinking vs. floating. 🧪🎨

In our speaking classes, students practiced eye contact, storytelling, and speaking confidently as they shared about their favorite animals. 🎤

We love watching these kids learn new things, build friendships, and grow in confidence week after week. What a gift to do it together! 🌿

✨ WEEK 2 AT THE WELL ✨

Week 2 is in the books! 💛 It is so fun watching everyone settle back into the rhythm of our Fridays together.

Here’s a little peek at what we worked on this week:

📖 Bible: We continued our journey through Acts with Acts 16:1–15, learning about how the Lord leads and hearing the story of Lydia. What a beautiful opportunity to remind our kids that God is at work directing His people and opening hearts to Him.

🎨 Fine Art: We studied Grant Wood and Young Corn, giving our students a chance to observe his unique style and create art inspired by his work.

🧪 Science: Our students explored the states of matter, while our older students practiced measurement and observation of reactions and learned about the conservation of matter.

🎤 Public Speaking: We learned how much a great presentation depends on a strong beginning and ending—how to grab an audience’s attention from the start and leave them with something memorable!

🗣️ Class Presentations: Students brought a favorite item from home and had the opportunity to stand in front of their classmates and share about something special to them.

💬 Communication: We practiced organizing our thoughts so we can communicate our ideas more clearly and confidently.

📖 Scripture Memory: We continued working on Romans 12:1–8, hiding God’s Word in our hearts together.

Another full and wonderful Friday at The Well. We are so thankful for our teachers who pour into these kids, our families who make this community possible, and the opportunity to learn and grow alongside one another. 🌿

Wow. What an incredible night! The spirit of worship is present when people show up because they want to worship GOD. He is good. He is worthy to be praised. He is creator. He is love. He is deserving of our Worship!! Lord renew a right spirit within us, your Church. May we no longer be luke warm but on 🔥 for YOU Lord.

✨ WEEK 1 AT THE WELL ✨

We’re back!! 💛 What a sweet first day together and such a fun way to begin a brand new year at The Well!

🧪 Science: We kicked off chemistry by learning What is Chemistry? and talking about important lab safety. Our older students also began exploring the difference between physical and chemical changes.

🎤 Public Speaking: We started with the foundations of public speaking, while our Communication class explored first impressions—how we present ourselves and communicate with others from the very beginning.

🗣️ Class Presentations: Students got to know one another through an “All About Me” interview, giving them an opportunity to practice speaking in front of their classmates right from week one!

🎶 Hymn Study: We began learning ’Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus—such a beautiful reminder as we step into a new school year together.

📖 Scripture Memory: We started working through Romans 12:1–8, focusing our hearts and minds on God’s Word as we begin the year.

We’re so grateful to have these kids back together—learning, building friendships, growing in confidence, and encouraging one another. We can’t wait to see all that this year holds! 🌿
