Our fellow represented HEC Imagine at Les Villes au Défi de la Paix, held at the Hôtel de Ville and co-organized by the City of Paris and Les Guerrières de la Paix — nominees for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.

The event brought together mayors from around the world and peace activists — including Israelis and Palestinians from local grassroots movements — to share stories of grief, resistance, and hope. It was a powerful reminder of the role local communities and everyday people can play in building peace, especially in times of deep division.

We’re proud to see our community present at spaces like this, where voices of unity, courage, and action take center stage.

Our Imagine Fellow .alam.official took the stage as a guest speaker during the final of the annual Concours d’Éloquence at HEC Paris.

Her speech echoed the event’s theme: “Building Peace | Construire la paix.”
With grace, humor, and a whole lot of heart, Najwa reminded us that eloquence isn’t just about competition — it’s about connection, meaning, and standing up for what matters.

🎬 On Monday, HEC Imagine, Making Of and BDA hosted a screening of Inside Kaboul at HEC. Created by Behishta Nazir, Sumaia, and French journalist Caroline Gillet, this animated podcast captures life in Afghanistan following the Taliban’s return—Sumaia chose to stay, while Behishta left—providing two different perspectives.

After the screening, Sumaia and Behishta joined us for a heartfelt discussion, answering questions and sharing personal stories. We closed the evening with a warm cocktail gathering.
