Instr. Ma. Dulce L. Alibangbang of the Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, Visayas State University Tolosa, was among the Visayas State University delegates to the 8th University Consortium (UC) Faculty Forum held at Maejo University, Chiang Mai, Thailand, on July 27โ28, 2026.
Carrying the forum theme, "IWA: Intelligent Wellbeing Agriculture toward Sustainable Development," Instr. The UC Faculty Forum convened faculty members, researchers, industry representatives, and development practitioners from University Consortium member institutions across Southeast Asia and partner universities. The two-day forum provided a venue for presenting research outputs, exchanging scientific knowledge, strengthening inter-university collaboration, and discussing innovations that contribute to sustainable agriculture and community development.
The forum was supported by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), which promotes regional research collaboration and capacity building among higher education institutions. Instr. Alibangbang's participation in the international forum was fully funded through the event support program and Visayas State University.
