The incident occurred as the stands were filled with spectators watching a rescheduled match between PRP and Male High School, originally postponed due to inclement weather. The Louisville Metro Police Department responded swiftly to reports of shots fired at 8:02 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a young male with multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. A second teenage victim later sought medical assistance at Mary & Elizabeth Hospital and is anticipated to make a full recovery. The gunfire sent spectators scrambling for cover under the bleachers, while players were hurriedly ushered into locker rooms for safety.
