Q: IS IT BAD ENOUGH YET?!?
What will it take for you to get trained, and have your children trained, in life saving measures as an immediate responder? Would you be confident that you had the skills to keep yourself, and everyone within reach of you, safer in an active shooter event? School, work, concerts, and sporting events are places most of us do not keep a high level of vigilance maintained. The article is below, but MESSAGE ME to BOOK your AVERT Training for NEXT SATURDAY 🙏🏼🇺🇸🖤

LOUISVILLE, KY – A high school football game turned into a scene of chaos and fear when gunfire erupted in the parking lot of Pleasure Ridge Park High School on Sunday night, leaving two teenagers injured and a community shaken. The incident occurred as the stands were filled with spectators watching a rescheduled match between PRP and Male High School, originally postponed due to inclement weather. The Louisville Metro Police Department responded swiftly to reports of shots fired at 8:02 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a young male with multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. A second teenage victim later sought medical assistance at Mary & Elizabeth Hospital and is anticipated to make a full recovery. The gunfire sent spectators scrambling for cover under the bleachers, while players were hurriedly ushered into locker rooms for safety. The game was suspended, and a complete evacuation was ordered once JCPS Police and LMPD secured the premises. In a message to the school community, Jefferson County Public Schools emphasized their zero-tolerance policy towards violence. They praised the rapid response of law enforcement and urged ongoing community cooperation to prevent such incidents in the future. The LMPD Homicide Unit is spearheading the investigation, focusing on identifying the assailants believed to have fled towards Greenwood Road. Authorities are appealing to local residents with security cameras to review their footage for any clues and report potential evidence to the police. This shooting underscores a growing concern about safety at school events, prompting calls for enhanced security measures and community vigilance. It serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced in maintaining a safe environment for students and families.
As investigations continue, the community grapples with the aftermath, seeking solace and solutions in the wake of violence. The incident has reignited discussions on the importance of proactive measures to safeguard public gatherings.
The community’s resilience is now being tested, as they come together to support the victims and work towards preventing future tragedies. With collective efforts, there is hope for healing and a renewed commitment to safety.
