ESG in Action: AIMST Environmental Day 2026

In conjunction with the United Nations World Environment Day on 5 June 2026, the Faculty of Applied Sciences successfully organised the AIMST Environment Day 2026. The event featured insightful talks by PERHILITAN, Global Environment Centre (GEC), Prof. Chm. Ts. Dr. Gaanty Pragas (UMPSA), Malaysian Nature Society (MNS), and WWF-Malaysia, alongside student competitions and hands-on activities such as the EcoRush Challenge, composting, and mudball workshops.
The programme also marked the soft launch of the AIMST Flora & Fauna (2nd Edition), highlighting the university’s ongoing commitment to documenting and preserving campus biodiversity. Aligned with ESG principles, particularly environmental stewardship and community engagement, AIMST continues to champion sustainable practices through education, research, and collaborative initiatives that support its broader ESG agenda. This initiative reinforces the importance of sustainability and collective responsibility in safeguarding our natural ecosystem for future generations.
