Otanjiobi Omedetou!!!

It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of one of our Shodans, Joshua Pitruzzello. Josh's commitment to his family and friends was an example for us all to follow and his effortless friendship and charity will be remembered for many years to come. Training with Josh was always fun and inspirational as he lived by "Fall seven times, rise eight." Josh could not be stopped, you could only hope to slow him down. Rest well, Joshua. You will forever be remembered by the Ryu, and dearly missed.

Jonas taught for the first time today! He did great and everyone had a good time. Here's to many more classes under Jonas Kyosei!

Hello Budo-oka! We hope that you are all happy and healthy! Kubo Sensei is having eye surgery on Wednesday and he has been strongly advised against training the next day. So, with that being said, Professor Delina Fuchs of Danzan Ryu will be teaching yawara (ultra similar to what we train in) for the evening. Training will begin at the usual time of 6 pm. If you haven't trained with Professor Fuchs before, this is a great time to do so as her experience and expertise will be invaluable to your overall training. For those of you who have trained with her in the past, you know what you're in for! 😉

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all well! Class is on for tomorrow at 3:30 pm. I'd like to see you all there. Also, I am cancelling/rearranging class for next Sunday. Kodomo Jutsu is the class right before the adult class that day and next week we are having a water balloon fight in the parking lot of the dojo. I've got about 2100 water balloons and I'm dying to cause some chaos with it. So, I REALLY don't think that this water balloon fight will be over by the time adult class starts, but you are all invited to come and join the water balloon fight. It starts at 2, next Sunday, not tomorrow.
