Rope Skipping Charity project

The impact of Covid-19 has exacerbated poverty and inequality and threatened children’s rights at unprecedented levels. The number of children who suffer from hunger, drop out of school, are abused, live in poverty or are forced into marriage is on the rise, while access to health care, vaccines, adequate food and basic services is declining. According to UNICEF, a staggering 100 million children around the world now live in multidimensional poverty due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This equates to about 1.8 children falling into poverty every second since mid-March 2020.

During the pandemic in China, children living in poverty face a lack of education, health, housing, nutrition, sanitation and clean water. To alleviate the poverty of children in related areas, our project team chose rope-skipping public welfare activities, hoping to raise funds by holding rope-skipping activities, and help children in poverty-stricken areas to obtain daily necessities, sports equipment, books and other donations.
