LET’S SEGREGATE FOR A SUSTAINABLE CAMPUS!

Every piece of trash we segregate is a step towards a cleaner, greener Ateneo.

Proper waste segregation helps manage our campus waste stream and prevents overwhelming our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). By being mindful of where we throw our waste, we become part of the solution.

♻️ Know your Segregation bins:
🟢 Compostables -paper packaging and similar wastes
🟡 Residuals – plastics
🔵 Recyclables – bottles, cans

🌏All our encouraged to:
✅ Label your own bins in dorms or offices
✅ Organize a mini "Basura Watch" with your org or class
✅ Start a habit challenge
✅ Report overflowing bins so they can be addressed quickly
✅ Post reminders near segregation bins

Together, we can make AdDU a model for ecological responsibility.

Let’s be Fortes in Fide, strong in faith and stewardship of our common home. 🌏

LOOK | The Ateneo de Davao University EcoKnights, alongside the dedicated Grade School Student Leaders and the spirited Volleyball Varsity Teams, are taking heartfelt steps to nurture our planet. Through their tree-planting and coastal clean-up efforts at Aboitiz Cleanergy Park, they are showing their deep commitment to caring for nature.

These meaningful actions not only beautify the environment but also foster a thriving ecosystem for local wildlife. This is particularly important for vulnerable species, such as the critically endangered hawksbill sea turtle that finds refuge and nests within the park. Their work reflects a compassionate understanding of our shared responsibility to protect and cherish our natural world.

Season of creation 2024

03/09/2024

Dear friends of Laudato Youth! Happy World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation!

“Hope and Act with Creation” is the theme of the Day. This theme is drawn from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans (8:19-25), where the Apostle explains what it means for us to live according to the Spirit and focuses on the sure hope of salvation that is born of faith, namely, newness of life in Christ.

Let's pray and reflect on our carbon footprint and how we can make a positive impact this season of creation. Let's make a difference together!
