The forecast calls for rain thru Wednesday, which is great to see! But I'm sure by Thursday we'll all be ready to get out & about.

As luck would have it, the Flies & Lies Social Club will be kicking off a new season of fly tying & socializing this Thursday, 01 October, 6:00pm at Horsefly Brewery in Montrose.

Thursday also happens to be "Buy a Burger, Get a B**r" night at Horsefly. Coincidence? I think not!

So dust the cobwebs off those vises & come join The Gang for an always enjoyable evening of socializing, fly tying and tall tale telling!

As always, all are welcome!

Just in time to help you plan your October social calendar, the Flies & Lies Social Club will be kicking off the '26/'27 season of shenanigans!
The Gang will be gathering on Thursdays, 6:00-8:00pm, as follows:

Oct 01-Horsefly Brewing-Montrose
Oct 15-Tipsy Trout Taproom-Delta
Oct 29-Montrose Anglers-Montrose

As always, come one, come all! Socializing required. Tying flies optional.

Fun day on the river with my Cedaredge “neighbors” Bre & Brandon introducing them to fly fishing. Everyone is your “neighbor” in a town of 2,500ish souls. Bre got her casting pretty well nailed, then opted for some rest in the shade on the bank for she & her “baby in the making.” And Brandon got to experience “the tug” a few times, and got his first fish on a fly to the net!
