GABS would like to introduce the newest furbaby in the biological sciences program... Duffy!!
Duffy and his mom have been research assistants at UofSC but as of summer 2021 they will officially be masters students within our program. Duffy was adopted last December from a shelter and is almost two years old. He has a gimpy leg but that definitely doesn't slow him down. His favorite activities are getting dirty, roughhousing, and barking at leaves.
Parent: Valerie Hinsch, a MS student in the Xu Lab.

This week we'd like to introduce another adorable family: Holo and Mika
Holo is the beautiful black fluffy cloud picture below. She enjoys playing with hairties, is the sweetest thing on the planet, and goes wild for some Fancy Feast.
Mika is a lovely striped tabby. She’s the eldest of the two and a sweet tiger of doom who enjoys joining in on Zoom calls, chasing the Red Dot, and follows mom EVERYWHERE she goes- so much she now has a harness to travel with mom anytime and any day ❤️
Parent: Rachel Schomaker, a PhD student in the Dudycha Lab .

This week GABS’ introduces...
Jezebel & Ace
Jezebel wearing the cute black bandana is three years old, and Ace with the fancy plaid getup is two years old. Lauren, their mom, likes to call them the mutts - half spoiled, half rotten. They're sweet pit-babies who don't believe me when I tell them that they've exceeded the lab dog weight threshold. They like to play outside with dad and snuggle inside with mom. They can definitely get used to the whole "working from home" thing.
Parent: Lauren Faulk, MS student in the Stone lab.
