Code on Wheels helps diversify the tech landscape by giving access to students from all backgrounds

We’re excited to officially launch the new Code on Wheels website🙌

This redesign is more than a new look — it’s a better reflection of the students, communities, and partnerships that drive our work every day. As Code on Wheels continues to grow, we wanted a platform that clearly communicates our mission, highlights our impact, and makes it easier for students, families, schools, supporters, and community partners to connect with our programs.

The new website creates a stronger space to showcase how we are expanding access to technology for middle and high school students across West Michigan through hands-on learning experiences, community partnerships, and real opportunities to explore technology.

A huge thank you to Tech Collaborative for helping bring this vision to life. Their partnership, creativity, and support throughout this process helped us build something that truly represents where Code on Wheels is today and where we’re headed next.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and invite everyone to explore the new site:

Grateful to be part of this with Gentex Corporation. Partnerships like this are what make it possible to keep expanding access to tech education for our students.

Gentex’s Emerging Professionals business resource group helped sell 50/50 raffle tickets at the Grand Rapids Gold Game on March 15 to support local nonprofit Code on Wheels. With Gold jersey sales and the raffle, they raised $2,745 to support STEM programming for students in underserved communities in Grand Rapids.

Nine Bosch Community Fund Grants Expand STEM and Environmental Education Opportunities in the Kentwood Area.

The Bosch Community Fund () is strengthening science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and environmental education in the Kentwood area by supporting initiatives that provide hands-on learning experiences for more than 4,500 students and educators. Topics such as robotics, aviation, food science, and environmental sustainability will spark curiosity and inspire students to pursue in-demand careers.

As part of this effort, a grant will support Code on Wheels Club, which provides accessible, high-quality technology education to underrepresented youth in West Michigan. Through summer and after-school sessions serving students in the Kelloggsville community, participants will explore coding and digital skills through hands-on learning experiences extending into the 2026–2027 school year.

We’re grateful to the Bosch Community Fund for supporting programs that expand access to technology education and help students explore future pathways in STEM.

Today we had one of many weekly meetings with our amazing partners as we continue redesigning our website. The next few sessions will focus on exploration — really thinking about how people experience Code on Wheels online.

Huge thank you to the team at Tech Collaborative — Lydia, Kim, and Mike — for being such great partners in this journey.

Fun moment of the day: we realized we had THREE different forms across different platforms 😅 Definitely a shock, but we had a good laugh and are excited to simplify things moving forward.

We’re excited to share that Code on Wheels has received a grant from the Grand Rapids Jaycees Foundation!

The Grand Rapids Jaycees Foundation has a long history of strengthening our community by giving, building, and leading — supporting local nonprofits that make a real impact here in West Michigan.

Thanks to this support, we can expand access to hands-on coding and STEM education for even more students across Kent County.

A huge thank you to the Grand Rapids Jaycees Foundation for investing in youth and helping us create brighter opportunities for the next generation!

Coders of Tomorrow brought together friends, partners, and supporters who believe in creating opportunities for youth. Through every class, every project, every “aha” moment — we’re not just teaching code. We’re building confidence, curiosity, and courage.

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in this mission — and to our friends at for opening their doors and making the Clubhouse feel like home.

Last Thursday, we had a blast at STEM Night! 🚀 Code on Wheels joined as a Community Partner, and we loved spending the evening with so many curious and creative students. We got to showcase some of our past projects, our Tech Instructor led a quick game development activity, and the crowd even jumped into VR experiences with us. Big thanks to the Holland community for such an energetic night, and to for being such a strong partner in making events like this possible!
