Dear Children,

We are deeply saddened by the heartbreaking incident that happened on July 21, 2025, when a Bangladesh Air Force training jet crashed into Milestone School & College in Uttara, Dhaka. This tragedy has taken the lives of 25 innocent children, a teacher, and a pilot, and injured many others.

Event Overview: Online Quiz and Essay Competition on Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

In February 2025, Amar Online School and United for Human Rights, Dhaka Chapter successfully organized a Human Rights Quiz and Essay Competition aimed at raising awareness among children and youth about fundamental human rights. This impactful initiative was part of our continued mission to educate and empower the younger generation on essential global values.

Event Duration: 10 February – 21 February 2025
Total Participants: 587 students from across Bangladesh
Number of Winners: 40 outstanding participants

This competition provided a platform for students to express their understanding of human rights through interactive quizzes and thoughtful essays. The response was overwhelming, with students showcasing impressive knowledge, creativity, and commitment toward human rights education.

Award Ceremony:
The award ceremony was held on 12 April 2025 at Stamford University Bangladesh. Though I could not personally attend the event due to security concerns, the program was successfully conducted with the participation of guests, winners, and supporters who celebrated the success of these young human rights advocates.

Support & Acknowledgement:
In December 2024, I reached out to Youth for Human Rights International to share my project plan. They responded positively and connected me with their Bangladesh representative. Who provided guidance and assistance throughout the planning and ex*****on phases of the project. Without Youth for Human Rights International and his support, this event would not have been possible.

We sincerely thank all the participants, their guardians, our supporters, and especially Youth for Human Rights International for their encouragement. This event marks a significant step toward spreading awareness about human rights among children and will inspire many more such initiatives in the future. Hopefully we can do something new soon.
