The School History
AGMAN International Academy was established as Halidu Memorial nursery and primary school, Gegu-Beki on the 7th of November, 2005 by Alh. A. G. Usman, the Garkuwa of Koton-Karfe, the Jarma of Opanda and Ohinoyi of Egbura, Kaduna.
At inception the school was made free of charge and open to every child in the community. This was because, Alh. A. G. Usman decided to encourage the education of all children in the community. He was of the view that he became what he become by the singular privilege and opportunity to have gone to school. This to him was a way of giving back to the society. The school began with less than thirty (30) pioneer pupils and steadily grew to a population of more than four hundred.
In 2015, the school introduced the payment of tuition fees for all students for sustainability reasons. At this time, many parents withdrew their wards from the school but the school continued to thrive and give scholarship for outstanding performance.
In January, 2021, Alh. A. G. Usman passed away after a brief illness. The new proprietor of the school became Alh. Usman A. Usman.
On the 6th of July, 2022 the name of the school was changed from Halidu Memorial School to AGMAN International Academy in honour of the founder Alh. A. G. Usman. It was duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission and has introduced a number of innovations including computer education.
AGMAN International Academy boasts of competent members of staff and utilises the services of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Members. The school has a functional corper's lodge for all its Corp members.
The permanent site of the school is still a work in progress.
