The start of this year has been an exceptionally great one!!! Shout out to Miss Abby (Joe Cyr and Jennifer Cyr) for her courage and success in the cage in January! To follow through is Mister Whitt!!!! He claims a multitude of victories in his most recent February tournament! Their hard work is evident and rewarded through and through! I am merely a helping hand in their success, but just to be a part of their processes is an exhilarating honor. I look forward to watching their steady growth for the future to come! Heartfelt congratulations to them both!

Great, happy morning! One of my 2026 goals was to be an early riser again! So I decided to get up at 4 AM every morning no matter what. Getting up early sets my mood for the day, greatly benefits my routine, and provides mental clarity and space as, firstly, a mom of three, and, secondly, an mma fighter. Coincidentally, I now help a new client with their physical and health goals at 5 AM. So targeting my goal just got easier. Could I have held myself accountable to wake up early every day? Yes. But training someone early in the morning keeps me accountable all the more. So, advice for 2026, FIND PEOPLE TO HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE! Goals are easier to accomplish this way!

This past week was my debut anniversary. An amazing experience, but also a naive experience. I was happy just to touch the inside of a cage. I “rolled with the flow” and had no idea what emotions I truly felt besides chaos and excitement. I thought I knew what I was getting into. I thought I will get through this fight career, I will love every moment of it, and I will be okay. Little did I know, however, I would be more vulnerable than I was before. There would be more lost times than ever there was. Moreover, there would be more times of frustration and dislike than I ever had for this sport before my debut… I see this fight world differently now though I am still in love with it. I am different, and I am evolving. This past moment in my life opened doors to so many complexities, persons, and opportunities. The woman in these photos is not the same woman writing this post. I don’t miss her, but I truly thank her for having the courage to do what most cannot and will not attempt. No matter what, God is with every version of me… THAT will ALWAYS be a constant, and it makes this path absolutely worth it. Y’all watch out for this woman’s new evolution next year. #2026

Some people need a companion through every second of a workout; others are perfectly fine being alone. A lot of people deplore boring workouts and need fun and/or incentives woven into their routines. Some need routine to continually exercise, and others mentally thrive on the level of difficulty to push them through their workouts. Motivations, approaches, efforts for active lifestyles may be different, but the feeling afterwards (for most people) is usually satisfying… Keep doing what you’re doing!!! It is always worth it!!!
