We oppose the HSF LHF Sports Merger This is a group for people who are opposed to the coop of sports between HSF and LHF. It has been very hurtful to our community of Humphrey!

If you haven’t heard, there has been a proposal introduced to both Humphrey St. Francis and Lindsay Holy Family to coop sports and extracurricular activities. There has been major pieces that have been left out of this discussion, mainly our children’s thoughts, our teacher's thoughts, and those of half of St. Francis parish: our parishioners that are alumni, attend, have children that attend, or

work for Humphrey Public School! They have been in a great merger with Lindsay Holy Family for 8 years, a coop that is mutually needed, has been mutually agreed upon, and has worked great for both communities. They were blindsided by this proposal, and have not been allowed to voice their concerns, but have been told that they are no longer wanted! I know most have the same sentiment about our town, and love to see the numerous successes every year! The last two years have been extremely blessed, to see 4 teams make it to state basketball shows the resilience, hard work, and blessings we have in Humphrey and Lindsay. Not only that, our town is stronger more in the 5 years than it has ever felt. Working together, all 3 schools have benefited and the success has been very transparent! With the proposal, the feelings of the town have already been seen. We feel that not enough time, and not enough reach of this issue has been developed for constructive feedback. We are hoping this page will keep people updated on what is happening, and we really stress the importance of only positive feedback. We feel that some people have been misled, and it is our wish that they are only informed on the number of people this will affect and who truly care about their community. We are a strong community, and there are a lot of people hurting right now. Please let your voice be heard! We also know a lot of you have family in town, and are friends with people this will affect. We always appreciate your time, and what your voice will always mean to our community of Humphrey!

Results of the Holy Family/St. Francis survey have been posted to Church bulletins and Humphrey Democrat. Father Olsen will confer with the Archdiocese to discuss the next step. It is hard to understand this next step, because it has been stated that the Archdiocese had nothing to do with the proposed co-op, yet now they are stepping in? How can there be a next step with the obvious lack of support?

Father has stated over and over that transportation costs will be exactly the same as they have been for HSF and LHF schools! How is this possible? Today for a pep rally, 5 buses, a mini bus, and 2 vans were taken to Lindsay! Who covered the cost of this? Who will cover the cost of this and drivers if this merger goes through?
