APLE26 Conference Programme

Day 1:
We invite you to APLE Fest Banja Luka 2026, the final exhibition of the Erasmus+ APLE project (Architectural Pop-Up Labs for Knowledge Exchange).
Hosted at the new building of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, University of Banja Luka, the festival transforms the faculty into an open house of architecture — a space of building, learning, dialogue, and exchange.
Wednesday, February 18 – Building Community
The festival opens with the construction of five student pavilions as part of the Pop-Up Live Studio, bringing together 30 students and mentors from seven architecture schools (Trondheim, Rome, Zagreb, Podgorica, Mostar, Sarajevo and Banja Luka).

Programme & Pavilions
🏛️ Four Pavilions. One Open Learning Space.
APLE Fest 2026 presents the work and methodologies of architectural Pop-Up Laboratories developed within the Erasmus+ APLE project, with contributions from faculties in Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Mostar, Podgorica, and international partners from Trondheim, Rome, and Zagreb.
The exhibition is organised through four thematic pavilions:
• Live Studio – problem-based studio rooted in real context
• Real Studio – virtual Pop-Up labs using data-driven approaches
• Data Studio – practice-oriented studio linked to the labour market
• Open Studio – collaborative action in the public realm
Together, they explore how architecture communicates complex spatial issues—within academia and beyond.

From 18 to 20 February 2026, the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy at the University of Banja Luka hosts APLE Fest 2026 – a three-day festival bringing together students, educators, researchers, professionals, and the wider public to explore contemporary questions of architecture, education, and social responsibility.
The Faculty building transforms into an Open House of Architecture, inviting everyone to experience learning-by-doing, experimentation, collaboration, and real engagement with spatial and social challenges.
