QCPD Nabs Suspects for Illegal Possession of Fi****ms in Separate Operations

QUEZON CITY, February 26, 2025—PCOL Melecio M Buslig, Jr, ADD, QCPD, announced the arrest of two suspects for Illegal Possession of Fi****ms in separate operations conducted by Batasan Police Station (PS 6) and Galas Police Station (PS 11), in Quezon City.

In its first operation, the PS 6 under PLTCOL Romil C Avenido arrested Dominic Macandog, 31 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City.

According to the report, at 1:50 AM on February 25, 2025, the victim was walking home when a male suspect suddenly appeared and forcibly took his cellphone. Then and there, the victim immediately reported the incident to PS 6, prompting the operatives to conduct a follow-up operation. Upon reaching IBP Road, Pook Pag-asa, Brgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City, the victim spotted the same individual who had stolen his belongings walking along the roadside. Acting promptly, the operatives apprehended the suspect on the spot.

Recovered from the suspect were one (1) Huawei Nova 3i mobile phone; a sling bag; one (1) .30 caliber revolver and four (4) live ammunition.

On the other hand, the PS 11 under PLTCOL Joseph DM Dela Cruz arrested Ernesto Mesa Mata, 25 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Tatalon, Quezon City.

Report shows that at 11:20 PM on February 25, 2025, along BMA corner Cardiz St., Brgy. Tatalon, Quezon City, Barangay Public Safety Officers (BPSO) of Brgy. Tatalon was patrolling within their Area of Responsibility (AOR) when they spotted a man causing a disturbance with an improvised handgun tucked in his waist. At that juncture, the BPSOs immediately sought assistance from nearby PS 11 patrolling officers, leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Further, through the Investigation Solution Automatic Verification (ISAV) system, it was revealed that the suspect had a previous case of Theft in September 2023.

Seized from him was an improvised handgun (pen gun) loaded with one (1) piece 9 mm live ammunition.

Both suspects will be charged for violating R.A. 10591, also known as Comprehensive Fi****ms and Ammunition Regulation Act and B.P. 881or Omnibus Election Code in relation to COMELEC Resolution No. 11067. In addition, Mata will be charged for Alarms and Scandals, while Macandog will be charged for Robbery (Hold-up).

QCPD Nabs Suspect for Stealing Php732K Worth of Cable Wires

QUEZON CITY, FEBRUARY 28, 2025---- In a recent anti-criminality operation, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) under PCOL Melecio Buslig, Jr, successfully apprehended a suspect involved in the theft of Php732,000.00 worth of cable wires owned by PLDT Inc.

The suspect, Raymond Bernardo, 26 years old, a resident of Tondo, Manila, was caught in the act by Galas Police Station 11 under PLTCOL Joseph Dela Cruz.

According to the report of PS 11, at around 4:00 AM on February 27, 2025, along E. Rodriguez near cor. Gilmore St., Brgy. Mariana, Quezon City, Bernardo and his cohorts were caught in the act of loading stolen PLDT Inc. copper internet cables into their truck, with clear intent to profit from the crime. Fortunately, PS 11 operatives on routine anti-criminality patrol promptly intervened, leading to Bernardo’s immediate arrest, while his accomplices managed to escape to an unknown location.

Recovered stolen items were two pieces of 2121-pair x 0.40-gauge cables (6 meters each), worth Php473,068.00; One piece of 2121-pair x 0.40-gauge cable (3.1 meters), worth Php231,535.00; and One piece of 2121-pair x 0.40-gauge cable (0.7 meters), worth Php27,397.00.

The suspect will be charged for Theft and violation of R.A. 10515 known as the Anti-Cable Television and Cable Internet Tapping Act of 2013 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s office.

Meanwhile, PS 11 operatives are conducting follow-up operations to track down Bernardo’s accomplices.

QCPD Manhunt Operations Yield 8 Station-Level Most Wanted Persons

QUEZON CITY, February 28, 2025---The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Acting Director, PCOL Melecio M Buslig Jr, announced the successful arrest of eight (8) Station-Level Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) through various law enforcement operations conducted by different unit and police stations by virtue of Warrants of Arrest (WOA).

The District Intelligence Division (DID) under PLTCOL Rossel Cejas together with La Loma Police Station (PS 1), Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) and QCFU-CIDG arrested the No. 1 MWP of PS 1 identified as Deogracias Diaz, 40 years old, and resident of Brgy. 127 Caloocan City at 7:15 PM of February 26, 2025 along Cabatuan St., corner Halili St., Brgy. 127, Caloocan City. He has a pending WOA for Murder issued by Branch 217, Regional Trial Court (RTC), Quezon City.

Meanwhile, the Masambong Police Station (PS 2) under PMAJ Jan Christian Bautista arrested Mary Jane Mendoza, 45 years old, listed as their No. 1 MWP, resident of Brgy. Bahay Toro, Quezon City at 8:30 PM of February 25, 2025 at No. 14 Capoas St., Brgy. Masambong, Quezon City for Murder issued by Branch 98, RTC, Quezon City.

During the arrest, a caliber .22 revolver loaded with seven (7) live ammunition and a belt bag were confiscated in her possession. In addition, she will be charged for violation of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Fi****ms and Ammunition Act) and B.P. 881 (Omnibus Election Code) in relation to COMELEC Resolution No. 11067.

Same operatives served WOA upon their No. 2 MWP identified as MAGRIBI COMAGUL, 76 years old and resident of Brgy. North Fairview, Quezon City at 4:45 PM of February 26, 2025 at Quezon City Jail Male Dormitory, Payatas Road, Brgy. Bagong Silangan, Payatas, Quezon City for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 issued by Branch 82, RTC, Quezon City.

Likewise, at 7:45 PM of February 26, 2025, Fairview Police Station (PS 5) under PLTCOL Geronimo Dimayuga, Jr served a Warrant of Arrest upon their No. 9 MWP identified as Jovie Gonzalvo, 37 years old, resident of Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City. He has a pending WOA for Theft issued by Branch 16, RTC, Malolos, Bulacan. An ISAV record check revealed that the suspect had a previous case of Robbery in January 2023.

Furthermore, the Anonas Police Station (PS 9) under PLTCOL Zachary M Capellan arrested RALPH RYAN ABALLE, 30 years old, listed as their No. 8 MWP, and resident of Brgy. Pasong Putik, Fairview Quezon City at 8:45 AM of February 27, 2025 at Molave St. corner Narra St. Brgy. Quirino 3A, Quezon City for Sexual Assault and Acts of Lasciviousness issued by Branch 159, RTC, National Capital Judicial Region, Pasig City.

In another operation, the Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) under PLTCOL Leonie Ann Dela Cruz arrested Samuel Alinsod, 56 years old, listed as their No. 6 MWP, resident of Brgy. Malusak, Sta. Rosa Laguna at 4:30 PM of February 26, 2025 at RTC Compound, DOJ Bldg., Quezon City Hall, Brgy. Central, Quezon City. He has a pending WOA for Acts of Lasciviousness issued by Branch 107, RTC, Quezon City.

Moreso, the Payatas Bagong Silangan Police Station (PS 13) under PLTCOL Rolando Baula in coordination with 81st, 82nd, and 83rd Special Action Company, Rapid Deployment Battalion of the PNP Special Action Force as the Main Tactical Support Unit, together with the Naval Intelligence and Security Group NCR, Technical Intelligence Group, Naval Intelligence and Security Force, DID, QCPD and Sariaya MPS arrested the No. 1 MWP of PS 13 identified as Elias Tadeo, 36 years old in his residence at Lutocan 1, Sariaya Quezon at 12:05 PM of February 25, 2025 for two (2) counts of Murder and Attempted Murder issued by Branch 105, National Capital Judicial Region, RTC, Quezon City. An ISAV record check revealed that he had previous case of R.A. 9165 in August 2020.

Lastly, at 12:10 PM of February 25, 2025 at BJMP, Quezon City Jail Female Dorm, Camp Karingal, Quezon City, the Project 6 Police Station (PS 15) under PLTCOL Roldante Sarmiento served Warrant of Arrest upon Glenda Alvera Navarro, 55 years old, listed as their No. 9 MWP, resident of Mandaluyong City for violation of BP Blg. 22 or the Bouncing Check Law issued by Branch 132, Metropolitan Trial Court (MeTC), National Capital Judicial Region, Quezon City.

An ISAV record check revealed that Navarro has a history of multiple cases, including 13 counts of Estafa; two (2) counts of Robbery; two (2) counts of BP 22 and Light Threats.
The courts of origin of the Warrants will be notified regarding the arrest of the accused.

PCOL Buslig, Jr lauded the operatives and said, “The conduct of aggressive law enforcement operations, particularly the campaign against wanted persons, is indeed a testament to our dedication to making Quezon City a safe place to live.” # #
