His journey across multiple healthcare systems has allowed him to bring a uniquely global perspective to nursing practice, education, and policy reform.

Throughout his career, Jeremy has demonstrated excellence in acute and emergency care, nursing education, and life support training. His contributions as a Professor, Board Exam Lecturer, Clinical Instructor, Canadian Red Cross Instructor, American Heart Association Trainer, and former Head of the Life Support Division in the UAE have helped shape and empower countless healthcare professionals across different countries and healthcare settings.

Currently serving within an Acute Medicine Surge Unit in Canada, Jeremy continues to provide high-acuity patient care while supporting emergency department operations in one of the most demanding clinical environments. Beyond the hospital setting, his role with St. John Ambulance as an Instructor, Medic, and Duty Officer reflects his enduring commitment to community service and emergency preparedness.

What truly distinguishes Jeremy’s leadership, however, is his relentless advocacy for Internationally Educated Nurses. During one of the most critical staffing crises in Ontario’s healthcare history, Jeremy courageously stood at the forefront of policy reform efforts. At a time when qualified nurses faced complex regulatory barriers despite urgent workforce shortages, he helped lead evidence-based advocacy initiatives that contributed to meaningful changes within the nursing profession. His formal petition and policy engagement efforts became part of important provincial discussions that helped improve pathways for IENs entering practice in Canada.

Jeremy’s advocacy has never been symbolic. It has been driven by sacrifice, evidence, persistence, and purpose. From long-distance travel to attend critical meetings, to countless sleepless nights gathering workforce data and strengthening policy arguments, he has consistently fought to ensure that internationally educated nurses are seen, heard, respected, and given fair opportunities to contribute to healthcare systems.

As a former Director of Education and Legal Officer of the Integrated Filipino Canadian Nurses Association and current Officer Coordinator for Ottawa, Jeremy continues to elevate the voices of nurses through collaboration, public engagement, and leadership. His participation in government discussions, media platforms, professional summits, and nursing organizations reflects a leader deeply committed to sustainable workforce reform, equitable healthcare access, and professional empowerment.

Jeremy’s credibility and influence have earned him numerous recognitions, including:
