Women's Health Ekklēsia NPO is tackling Global Sexual Reproductive Health realities

21/11/2025

As Women Health Ekklisia, we stand firmly against the ongoing scourge of gender-based violence.

The Church cannot and must not remain silent. As contributors to the SVRI Faith & GBV work, we affirm that faith communities have a vital role to play in prevention, healing, and advocacy.
Today we call on all institutions, faith, health, government, and community structures, to unite in action. GBV is not a women’s issue alone; it is a societal crisis that demands collective transformation.

We stand, we speak, and we act for change.
No more silence. No more violence.

Today is World Menstrual Hygiene Day. Let’s normalise conversations around menstruation, access to hygiene products, and work together to put an end to period poverty for young girls.

As part of the South African Coalition of Menstrual Health (SACMH) Governance and Advocacy Task Team we visited NKangala Kwandebele yesterday! 🌍 In collaboration with the Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, along with the Mpumalanga Department of Social Development, Mpumalanga department of Education, in attendance we also had Mpumalanga Provincial Government, Mpumalanga Department of Health
We also had amazing individuals, including other government officials, Civil society, and community leaders.

We hosted a workshop focusing on sexual and reproductive health, including menstrual health 💫 Engaging with parents, teachers, and school governing bodies was truly inspiring. This marks the beginning of an initiative led by DWYPD, and I'm humbled to be part of it!

Every session brought new insights, reaffirming our dedication to championing SRHR. As activists and community-based organizations, in partnership with the government, we're committed to advocating for social justice and empowering our communities.

For some of us, this is a calling!! We are striving for positive change and promoting health and well-being for all. 💪♥️
