How to be successful sales person

In sales, it's all about finding out what's going on in the minds of your customers and prospects before they buy. Once you have discovered their problems and issues, you can then offer them solutions that solve their problems, and make them happy. You can do this without selling them anything - instead, you'll just help them get what they want.

The first step in becoming a great salesperson is to know who your customer is. Find out everything you can about them, including their likes, dislikes, habits, family situation, etc...

After getting to know them well, it's time to figure out what motivates them. Do they enjoy spending money? Are they married? Do they have kids? What kind of job do they have? How much do they earn? Is their spouse unhappy at work? Does their partner drink a lot? What do they watch on TV? What websites do they visit? What kind of music do they listen to? What books do they read? Do they have pets? What foods do they eat? What's their favorite hobby?

Once you've figured out all these things, you can start to think about how to speak to them. Start off by understanding their language, and learn how to speak their language - not only that, but how to speak it effectively. Speak slowly, clearly, and simply. Be friendly and polite. Treat them with respect. People love to talk to people they agree with.

When speaking to your potential clients and customers, try to find out what their problems are, and where they're coming from. Don't put yourself down talking about how bad you are. Instead, look for ways to help them out. Offer a solution for their problem. Ask questions to understand if they need more information on a certain topic. If you don't understand something, ask them to explain further. Make sure they understand you, and that you're listening to them.

Finally, once you've got their attention, it's time to sell! Sell them what you believe will benefit them the most. Listen closely to what they say. Sometimes people will tell you what you want to hear, just so they can go home and complain about it later. So, if someone says no, that means yes. If someone says yes, that doesn't mean yes. Always confirm before signing a contract. And above all else, always close the deal!
