Jamshoro: Textile Department, Mehran UET, Jamshoro organise an orientation session for fresh batch inducted for 6 months (Skills for All), Skill development training of youth in high-end technologies under the Umbrella of Kamyab Jawan Program.

Textile Department, Mehran UET, Jamshoro offering Free of cost, Skill development training in two trades, 1. Textile Spinning, 2. Textile Wet Processing with jointly collaboration with National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), Government of Pakistan.

The Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF) is a national exercise, introduced by the government of Pakistan, It assesses excellence in teaching at universities, and how each higher education provider ensures excellent outcomes for their students in terms of graduate-level employment or Technical Skills.

The session was chaired by the Chairman, Prof. Zeeshan Khatri, and attended by senior Faculty, students, and Management Staff.

Certificate Award Ceremony – Textile Department, Mehran UET, Jamshoro

Textile Department, Mehran UET, Jamshoro (TED)– A certificate distribution ceremony was held at the Seminar Hall, Department of Textile Engineering, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, on completion of Batch - II, Hunarmand Pakistan (Skills for All), Skill development training of youth in high-end technologies under the Umbrella of Kamyab Jawan Program, a special initiative by the Prime Minister of Pakistan in order to provide self-employment opportunities to the unemployed youth.

The Program is based on 6 Months Hands on experienced training in 2 technologies (1. Textile Spinning, 2. Textile Dyeing and Printing). �
Department of Textile Engineering, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) at Regional Office, Karachi for the joint implementation of Prime Minister initiative of Hunarmand Pakistan- Skill for all, Program.

The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Zeeshan Khatri, Chairman-Textile Department, Mehran UET, Jamshoro, Along with Muhammad Shahid Memon - General Manager, Zaman Textile Mills, Kotri and Syed Ubed -Ur- Rehman Tirmizi, Senior Technical Manager, Bhanero Textile Mills, Kotri as a Guest of Honor. Mr. Muhammad Ali Chachar, Director - NAVTTC Karachi is also committed to joint this ceremony as a Chief Guest of the Event.

45 students qualify in final exams out of 50 students in both trades, and received for our Guests, in the Certificate Award Ceremony our Faculty and Administrative Staff were present.

The Chairman, acknowledge the jointly efforts taken by the faculty and administrative team accomplish very First Training Program.

Alhamdullilah, we are done with the Silver Jubilee and Alumni gathering on 20th March 2022.
It was great to see a family 26 batches from 1993 to 2017. Amazing people, had great networking, reunion and shared lots of memories and emotions.
