TKAEDiTE Project Entered Final Phase During Advisory and Management Board Meeting Held Online

The last Advisory and Management Board Meeting of the project Transforming the Kosovo and Albanian Education System by Introducing Digital Technology in Teacher Education (TKAEDiTE) was held online on May 28, 2026, under the organization of the University of Prishtina. The meeting brought together project representatives, advisory board members, and institutional partners to review the final phase of the project and discuss its concluding activities.

The meeting officially began with the registration of participants, followed by opening remarks delivered by Krenare Pireva Nuci, who provided an overview of the project’s final phase and highlighted the importance of digital transformation in teacher education systems across Kosovo and Albania.

During the session, participants reviewed the closing phase of the project, including a presentation summarizing the major achievements and outcomes accomplished throughout the implementation period. The meeting also included the presentation of the external evaluation report by Fisnik Dalipi, who discussed the impact, effectiveness, and sustainability of the project activities.

A part of the meeting focused on the discussion and approval of the final deliverable, led by Arsim Susuri. Board members exchanged opinions and recommendations regarding the final outputs and future opportunities for cooperation and digital innovation in higher education.

The agenda continued with a session dedicated to the planning and coordination of the final report, presented by Krenare Pireva Nuci. Advisory Board members later shared their reflections and recommendations concerning the long-term impact of the project and the continuation of similar initiatives in the region.
The meeting concluded with additional discussions and closing remarks, reaffirming the commitment of the participating institutions to strengthening digital competencies and advancing innovation in teacher education.

Another dissemination activity from the TKAeDiTE.eu project 📚💻

At the ITHET 2026 conference (in Lillehammer, Norway), Dr. Ali Hamidi from Linnaeus University, presented the research titled “Leverage Points for Computational Thinking Integration: A Teacher-Informed Systems Analysis of Kosovo’s Education System”, co-authored with Krenare Nuci and Fisnik Dalipi.

The presentation highlighted key findings on integrating Computational Thinking into Kosovo’s education system, emphasizing teacher perspectives, systemic barriers, and sustainable pathways for digital transformation in education.

The study also reflects the ongoing impact of the EU-funded TKAeDiTE.eu project in supporting innovation, digital competencies, and modern teacher education practices in Kosovo and Albania. 🌍✨

🚀 Exciting News as part of the project TKaEDiTE.eu!

A dedicated team of professors, researchers, and mathematics experts has come together to develop a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in Financial Mathematics, contributing to the digital transformation of higher education and the modernization of mathematics teaching and learning materials using the EdTECH UP studio.

The initiative was led and coordinated by Prof. Dr. Nimete Berisha, who played the central role in the digitalization and academic development of the course. With her extensive expertise in mathematics, statistics, and financial mathematics, she guided the vision of creating an accessible, innovative, and practice-oriented online learning experience for students and professionals alike.

TKAEDiTE at the center of digital transformation: The project bringing Kosovo’s education closer to Europe

Digital transformation and European integration are no longer just a vision – they are becoming a reality through innovative projects that are changing the way higher education in Kosovo functions. In the documentary “Kosovo’s Path Towards Integration – A Journey Supported by the European Union”, broadcast by https://kallxo.com/kallxopernime/dokumentar-rruga-e-kosoves-drejt-integrimit/, it was clearly emphasized that technology, innovation, and modern education are key pillars of the country’s European future.

Among the initiatives attracting attention as concrete examples of this transformation is the TKAEDiTE.eu project, which is being recognized as one of the most important initiatives for advancing digital education and developing the competencies of the new generation in Kosovo.

Among several investments supported by the European Union presented in the documentary, the infrastructure developed and invested through TKAEDiTE.eu project was also showcased as an example of how EU-funded projects are contributing to the modernization of higher education institutions in Kosovo.

The documentary also featured an interview with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Blerim Saqipi, Dean of the Faculty of Education of the University of Prishtina, who highlighted the importance of innovation, digital competencies, and international collaboration in preparing students and academic institutions for the rapidly changing demands of the modern world.

By integrating modern technologies into the learning process, collaborating with international partners, and introducing innovative practices within universities, TKAEDiTE is opening new opportunities for students and academic staff alike. The project aims to build more modern, competitive, and future-oriented institutions capable of responding to the challenges of the global digital economy.

Experts emphasize that initiatives such as TKAEDiTE impact not only education, but also the broader economic and social development of Kosovo. At a time when Europe is investing heavily in digital transformation, Kosovo is demonstrating its readiness to move alongside the most advanced international trends.

The documentary delivered a strong message: European integration begins with education, innovation, and empowering young people with the skills needed for the future. In this journey, TKAEDiTE is emerging as one of the projects laying the foundation for a smarter, more modern, and more European higher education system in Kosovo.

Korniza e Kompetencës Digjitale për Mësimdhënësit në Kosovë - MASH 22/04/2026

We are pleased to share that the Ministry of Education and Science has officially approved the Digital Competence Framework for Teachers in Kosovo which is deliverable from our project. This framework represents an important step toward strengthening teachers’ digital competences to meet the demands of the 21st century, as also foreseen in the Education Strategy.

Developed in alignment with the European standards and international best practices, this framework establishes a clear structure for the development of teachers’ , supporting the pedagogical and effective integration of technology in teaching and learning.

NTNU Visit – third day

The upcoming session will spotlight cutting-edge developments in educational research, beginning with a presentation by Prof. Ali Shariq Imran on Student Feedback Tools and RAG-based Systems.

Scheduled under the theme Educational Research Activates, this segment will explore how retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) is expected to transform the way student feedback is collected, analyzed, and utilized to improve learning experiences.

At 10:00, Dr. Sarang Shaikh will deliver the second presentation, focusing on Automatic Education Learning Outcomes Classification using AI. This session will demonstrate how Artificial Intelligence is anticipated to streamline the evaluation of educational outcomes, enabling more accurate and scalable assessment methods across academic institutions.

The program will conclude with an open discussion session at 11:00, where all participants will be invited to exchange ideas, share perspectives, and contribute to shaping future directions in AI-driven education. In particular, the concluding discussion is expected to address the sustainability of the project and explore ideas for future collaboration among partners and stakeholders.

The event is expected to foster collaboration and inspire innovative approaches to integrating advanced technologies into modern educational systems.

NTNU Visit – second day

Norwegian University of Science and Technology is hosting a diverse academic program bringing together researchers, educators, and students for a full-day event highlighting developments in informatics, high-performance computing, and artificial intelligence in education.

From 09:30 to 10:15, Christopher Frantz and Steven Le Moan will present the Master of Science in Informatics (MSIT) program at NTNU. They will outline the structure, opportunities, and future directions of the program, emphasizing its role in preparing students for advanced careers in computing and data science.

Between 10:15 and 11:00, Vijeta will introduce the computing resources available at NTNU, including insights into Idun High Performance Computing, and explain how these resources support cutting-edge research.

From 11:00 to 11:45, M. Almasri will share experiences and results from a recent workshop held in Prishtina, highlighting key outcomes and international collaboration efforts.

The program will continue from 13:00 to 14:00 with a presentation on artificial intelligence in formal foreign language education. This session will explore how AI is expected to transform language learning through personalization and improved student engagement.

Afterwards, participants will visit Gjøvik International School, where they will observe educational practices and discuss potential opportunities for collaboration.

The event will underline NTNU’s ongoing commitment to innovation, international cooperation, and the integration of advanced technologies in education and research.

NTNU Visit

The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is hosting an important international visit of the Transforming the Kosovo and Albanian Education System by Introducing Digital Technology in Teacher Education (TKAEDiTE) project partners.

The three-day visit, taking place from April 15 to April 17 at NTNU’s Gjøvik campus, brings together academic staff, institutional representatives, and policymakers from across Europe. The initiative aims to strengthen collaboration and promote the integration of digital technologies in teacher education systems in Kosovo and Albania.

The visit to NTNU is organized as part of the TKAEDiTE project to facilitate faculty and staff members of consortium partners with exposure to NTNU infrastructure, teaching and learning facilities and educational best practices. The workshop aims to shed some light on the tools/techniques employed in course delivery, assessment, and evaluation at NTNU.

The consortium includes leading institutions Linnaeus University in Sweden, University of Prizren, the Polytechnic University of Tirana, the University of Tirana, and several key education authorities from Kosovo. Their participation highlights the project’s broad regional impact and commitment to advancing education through innovation.

The agenda features a series of workshops, presentations, and interactive sessions designed to showcase NTNU’s teaching methodologies, infrastructure, and best practices in digital education. Participants will engage with NTNU experts on topics such as modern teaching tools, course delivery techniques, and evaluation methods.

Highlights of the first day include a welcome session, an introduction to NTNU’s Gjøvik campus and city life, presentations from the ISA Research Group and ColorLab, and a special meet-and-greet session with the Ambassador of Kosovo, Dr. Nita Luci. The program also includes campus tours and visits to laboratories and lecture facilities, providing participants with firsthand insight into NTNU’s academic environment.

This visit represents a significant step toward enhancing cooperation between European higher education institutions and supports the overarching goal of modernizing teacher education systems through digital innovation.

Bachelor Program in Educational Technology at the University of Prishtina Successfully Accredited

The Bachelor program in Educational Technology (EdTech) at the University of Prishtina, offered by the Faculty of Education, University of Prishtina, has been successfully accredited by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency, marking an important achievement in advancing higher education in the field of technology-enhanced learning.

This accreditation represents the final milestone of the TKAEDiTE project, which aimed to modernize study programs and strengthen the integration of digital technologies in higher education. Through this initiative, new academic capacities have been developed, curricula have been updated, and new opportunities have been created for students to acquire competencies at the intersection of pedagogy and technology.

The newly accredited EdTech program is expected to prepare future professionals capable of designing, implementing, and managing digital technologies in educational environments, thereby contributing to the improvement of teaching and learning processes.

Successful accreditation demonstrates the commitment of the University of Prishtina to innovation, digital transformation, and the development of modern academic programs aligned with contemporary educational needs and labor market demands. The program is expected to welcome its first cohort of students in the upcoming academic year, opening a new chapter in the development of educational technology in Kosovo.

External Evaluator Selected for the TKAEDiTE Project

The TKAEDiTE project has successfully completed the selection process for an External Evaluator, appointing Mr. Farhan Sahito, who will independently assess the overall implementation and impact of the project. The appointment of an external evaluator represents an important step toward ensuring transparency, accountability, and high standards in project implementation.

The External Evaluator will play a key role in reviewing the progress and effectiveness of the project, including the implementation of project activities and the achievement of its objectives.

In addition, the evaluator will examine the quality of project deliverables, considering the indicators defined in the Logical Framework as well as the provisions outlined in the Quality Assurance Plan. The evaluation will also cover project management, coordination among partners, dissemination of results, sustainability of outcomes, and the overall impact of the project.

At the conclusion of the evaluation process, expected by the end of April 2026, Mr. Sahito will prepare and submit a comprehensive Final External Evaluation Report.

The selection of the External Evaluator marks another milestone in the successful implementation of the TKAEDiTE project and reinforces the consortium’s commitment to quality, transparency, and continuous improvement.
