Today I had the honor of being part of this amazing book launch.

"Today in Apia, Samoa 🇼🇸, we proudly launched the Samoan translation of This Is Not Yours to Carry — E Le O Sau Avega E Amo.

A powerful and deeply moving day, held in the heart of community, culture, and collective commitment to our tamaiti.

We were honoured to have Si’alei Van Toor; the NZ high commission to Samoa in attendance, alongside Jasmine Joerimann from the Australian High Commission Samoa, alongside many incredible leaders across agencies, schools, and churches who will help carry this message across Samoa.

Together, we begin the journey of placing 1,000 books into the hands of the precious children of Samoa, sharing a message that reminds them: what you carry is not always yours to hold.

This day was especially meaningful for Matt Brown, with his Auntie Peka present; his mum’s eldest sister who lives here in the village of Faleletai, Samoa. A full circle moment that grounded this work in aiga and alofa.

We are deeply grateful to our host Maluseu Doris Tulifau, founder of Brown Girl Woke, for her powerful leadership and her team for their beautiful hosting. Her work continues to challenge violence and create safer futures for women, girls, and aiga across Samoa.

Position: Teacher Aide

Start: As soon as possible

Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday

About Us
Little Wonders is a growing early childhood school dedicated to nurturing curious, confident learners. We’re expanding our team and looking for a warm, energetic person to support our classroom teachers and help create a joyful learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

💙Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities and routines.

💙Support small-group learning and one-on-one help for children.

💙Help prepare materials, set up learning areas, and tidy classrooms.

💙Supervise children during play, meals, and transitions.

💙Communicate positively with staff, children, and families.

Who We’re Looking For

❤️Energetic and enthusiastic with a genuine love for working with young children.

❤️Reliable, punctual, and able to work the full shift until 5:30 PM.

❤️Good communicator and team player.

❤️Previous experience with children or relevant training is an advantage but not essential.

❤️Must be able to start immediately.

Important Travel Note
🚍If you rely on a bus that requires you to leave by 5:00 PM, please do not apply. The work day finishes at 5:30 PM and cannot end earlier.
