The Provincial Government Training Board (PGTB) Induction Workshop was officially opened on Monday in Luganville, Santo, by Hon. Minister Simil Johnson, Minister of Education and Training, bringing together over 60 board members, government leaders, provincial representatives and development partners.
It was a pleasure working with valued partners to support this workshop, especially the Vanuatu Qualifications Authority and Pacific Australia Skills, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education & Training, Vanuatu.
The workshop aims to strengthen governance and leadership for Provincial Training Board members to align provincial training with development priorities, national goals, and local industry needs.

We are proud to support the successful roll-out of pandanus planting materials across Sanma Province this week ๐ฑ๐ฟ.
This initiative is being delivered through the Sanma Skills Centre, under the Ministry of Education and Training, in collaboration with the Department of Forestry โ Sanma, the Vanuatu Agriculture Research and Technical Centre (VARTC), and the Vanuatu Community-Based Climate Resilience Project (VCCRP).

The replanting of pandanus is an important step in strengthening Vanuatuโs response to climate impacts ๐๐. It supports the restoration of resilient plant species that play a vital role in coastal protection and sustainable livelihoods for communities ๐ฟ๐๏ธ.
Pandanus also remains central to traditional weaving, providing essential raw materials for mats, baskets and hats ๐, unique handmade woven products in Sanma ๐งบ. These products not only preserve cultural knowledge and practices but also contribute to income generation ๐ผ and strengthen community resilience ๐ช.
