Celebrate & Reflect: Shefa Day 2026 at Onesua Presbyterian College 🏫✨
Happy Shefa Day from the staff and students here at North Efate!
Today, the OPC community came together not only to celebrate our province's rich history and unity but also to engage our minds in critical civic discussion.
We marked the occasion in true celebration style with the cutting of a beautiful Shefa Day cake—a sweet reminder of the shared bonds that connect our islands, from Efate to the Shepherds. 🍰🤝
Following the celebration, our campus hosted a lively and thought-provoking educational forum on a highly relevant national topic: "The Removal of Provincial Public Holidays."
Our students and staff dove deep into the debate, weighing the economic impacts and productivity factors against the vital importance of preserving our regional identity, cultural heritage, and provincial pride. Seeing our young leaders articulate their views with such maturity and critical thinking reminds us that the future of Shefa and Vanuatu is in brilliant hands. 💡🇻🇺

📢 MID-YEAR EXAM NOTICE FOR ALL ONESUA PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE PARENTS & GUARDIANS 📢
As our campus transitions into exam mode, we want to inform all families that our boarding students are officially sitting their Mid-Year Exams this week and next week.
Because Onesua is a boarding community, our dedicated staff, teachers, are working hard on-site to provide a quiet, highly focused environment.
How you can support your child from afar:
Encouragement:
If you connect with your child during permitted phone hours, please offer them words of love, strength, and confidence.
Keep Them in Your Prayers:
We lift our students up in prayer for clarity of mind, good health, and peace as they write their papers.
The campus is quiet, the study rooms are full, and our students are putting in the effort. Thank you for your continued partnership and trust in us as we guide your children through this important mid-year assessment.
Wishing all our boarding students the absolute best of luck! God bless you all. 🌴📝
