Seminar on learning behaviour of Lao and Thai students in academic year 2011-2012 :

STUDENT AFFAIRS (May 12, 2012): A seminar on Learning behaviour of Lao and Thai students in academic year 2011-2012 was held at Vinh University on May 12, 2012. The authorities of Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association, heads of division and faculty of Vinh University and Lao/Thai students from different educational institutions within Nghe An Province fruitfully participated in this seminar.

To help foreign students with the Vietnamese language and specialized majors studies, Vinh University has organized voluntary clubs with the line: “Each foreign student has at least 1 Vietnamese student assistant”. In doing so, It has easily promoted language improvement and culture’s discovery. Foreign students can broadly integrate into academic community as well as common life with a steady understanding, which contributes to their success in professional life after graduation. There are now 269 Lao students and 21 Thai peers at Vinh University. During the seminar, participants also discussed about teaching/learning methods and moral education to improve learning quality at higher education. They also focused on experiences in teaching Vietnamese, research methodology for students, practical learning skills, etc.
