IT MANAGER - JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage Group and affiliates systems development/deployment as an internal business unit in an efficient, timely delivery of outputs, cost-effective and transparent manner.
• To work with all IT vendors to ensure quality and on-time delivery on allocated projects. This may require on-site coordination with vendors for extended periods.
• Be the SPOC for IT vendors to clarify all business requirements from technology
• Work with Head of IT (if any) to control and evaluate IT spending for costs, risks and benefits and accurately recover these costs
• Implement and drive initiatives that will promote sustainable savings to the business
• Promote a culture of service excellence through timely and quality support / advice on IT-related matters.
• Ensure greater work cohesion with counter parts on IT-related issues to improve the level of co-operation and transparency between IT and business.
• Ensure sound technical advice given to support the improvements to the work processes used by the business to carry out it’s initiatives as well as the timely resolution of technical issues encountered by the business.

REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 5 years experience in various software development roles
• Significant previous experience and proven track record of managing the delivery of IT Projects
• Strong working knowledge of manufacturing, SAP deployment and IT development standards & governance.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• University degree in Computer Science or Engineering field.
• Project Management qualifications is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a PMO, you will support the program/project manager, who relies on you to help achieve project success. You use your teamwork and communication skills to ensure the project finishes on time and within budget.
Project Management Process/Methodology Control:
 Share and promote the project management discipline within the organization
 Improve and implement a common set of practices, principles, methods and tools for the management and delivery of various projects, define and standardize reporting methods, metrics, KPIs
 Ensure project management standards are being followed by performing regular assessments of projects through audits
 Ensure the continuous improvement of project management practices
Internal Consulting and Mentoring:
 Disseminate know-how, provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to Project Managers inside Business Units or other structures inside the organization
Home for Project Managers:
 Offer project support on request: provide project management guidance and advice to Project Managers within the organization. On request, take over the Project Management for the entire customer project
 Maintain a centralized office from which project managers can be assigned to work on projects
Skills & Qualification
Must Have:
 Have 8-10 years working in IT industry
 At least 5 years working as management position
 Knowledge and relevant experience with project management practices, standards, tools, methodologies (PMP, Prince, Agile)
 Experience with development methodologies (Agile Scrum, Kanban etc.) and with Atlassian Product Suite Tools
 Knowledge of standards: Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), ISO 9001, ISO 27001
 Proficiency in English
 Advanced communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
 Strong analytical skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate
 Ability to work independently, but also roll up and align efforts to the larger team goals
Nice to Have:
 Experience of working on projects delivering organizational change is an advantage
 Experience with organizational projects and with implementing CRM/ERP projects within organizations
 Experience with distributed teams
 Project Management or Software Engineering related certifications
