Thank you to SingCham Vietnam for the invitation to join the panel "AI & Digital Transformation – From Innovation to Real-World Impact" at the Mekong Gateway Summit 2026, alongside a strong lineup from KPMG, Buymed, and Microsoft.

My focus was the investor lens: AI has moved through distinct phases, from Predictive AI (recommendation engines, ad targeting), to Generative AI (text, code, images), to Agentic AI, which is just now entering the mainstream. The next frontier is Embodied AI — intelligence connected to the physical world through robots, drones, and autonomous vehicles.

For Vietnam and Southeast Asia, I see the real opportunity in applications with clear commercial demand and real customers:

AI infrastructure — data centers, power, and connectivity built for hyperscalers, enterprises, and government

Robotics and intelligent manufacturing, where AI moves from perception to reasoning to physical action

Deeper ties between Vietnam and Silicon Valley, bringing global accelerators and innovation platforms into the region to strengthen deal flow

AI infrastructure in particular is becoming a foundational asset class — not just a technology trend, but the groundwork for the next stage of regional growth.

I was also honored to meet The Consul-General of the Republic of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Pang Te Cheng, and exchange views on the exciting opportunities AI and innovation present for Vietnam and Singapore.

I am pleased to announce that I have joined Plug and Play Tech Center as Executive Advisor – Vietnam, while continuing in my role as CEO of Saigon Asset Management.
I look forward to helping strengthen the connection between Vietnam's innovation ecosystem and Silicon Valley.

My role will focus on helping Plug and Play establish a long-term presence in Vietnam by developing strategic partnerships across government, industry, academia, investors, and the startup ecosystem, supporting the establishment of a Vietnam AI Center of Excellence, and fostering collaboration across strategic technology sectors aligned with Vietnam's national priorities.

In this role, I look forward to working with Vietnam's innovation ecosystem by connecting:
• Startups with world-class accelerator programs, global mentors, corporate customers, investors, and international markets.
• Corporations with startup scouting, open innovation, AI adoption, technology pilots, and corporate venture opportunities.
• Venture Capital Funds and Investors with high-quality deal flow, co-investment opportunities, and access to Plug and Play's global ecosystem.
• Universities with entrepreneurship programs, research commercialization, industry collaboration, and global innovation networks.
• Government and Innovation Centers to strengthen innovation ecosystems, support AI Centers of Excellence, and accelerate technology commercialization.

I look forward to working with partners across Vietnam's innovation ecosystem to help make this vision a reality.
