Về Fulbright Debate Club, chúng mình là câu lạc bộ tranh biện tại Trường Đại học Fulbright Việt Nam. Chúng mình đã có nhiều thành tích đáng tự hào trong việc tham gia các cuộc thi tranh biện ở cấp quốc gia và quốc tế, cũng như là Ban tổ chức của giải Vô địch Tranh biện Các trường đại học Việt Nam 2022 (Vietnam Universities Debating Championship).

Với những nỗ lực đó, chúng mình đang khao khát được thử sức ở một đấu trường lớn hơn, và đại diện cho Đại học Fulbright Việt Nam tham gia World Universities Debating Championship 2024. Đây là cuộc thi tranh biện uy tín nhất trên thế giới, thu hút các đội tuyển đến từ hơn 80 quốc gia trên toàn thế giới.

Tuy nhiên, việc tham gia cuộc thi này đòi hỏi một số chi phí phải đáp ứng như chi phí đăng ký và lưu trú. Vì vậy, chúng mình đang đặt ra mục tiêu gây quỹ 3.150 USD để hỗ trợ các thành viên tham gia cuộc thi. Chúng mình biết rõ đây là số tiền lớn, và chúng mình rất mong nhận được sự hỗ trợ từ tất cả mọi người.

We are writing to ask for your support for the club's fundraising campaign, with the aim of helping the 5 members of Fulbright Debate Club to participate in the World Universities Debating Championship 2024.

To give you a better insight into Fulbright Debate Club, we are a debate club at Fulbright University Vietnam. We have had many proud achievements in participating in national and international debate competitions, as well as being the host of the Vietnam Universities Debating Championship 2022 (Vietnam Universities Debating Championship). Having made these efforts, we aspire to challenge ourselves in a larger arena, representing Fulbright University Vietnam in the World Universities Debating Championship 2024. This is the most prestigious debate competition in the world, attracting teams from more than 90 countries around the world.

However, participation in the championship requires different expenses to be met, ranging from registration fee to accommodation costs. Therefore, we are setting a fundraising goal of 3,150 USD to support the members participating in the championship. We know this is a great sum of money, and we appreciate each of everyone's support.

As part of this year Giving Week, Impact Showcase is a live exhibition of history of Fulbright University Vietnam, the positive impact that our institution over 30 years of existence has contributed and are contributing to the development of Vietnam through rigorous research, constructive policy dialogues and capacity building at both graduate and undergraduate levels.

Fulbright Friendly Debate is a small-scale tournament, organized by Fulbright Debate Club (FDC) for Fulbright students and students from neighboring schools in HCMC. Organizing Fulbright Friendly Debate, FDC aims to contribute positively to the development of the debate community in Vietnam.

Fulbright Friendly Debate chief adjudication panel this year honorably welcomes one experienced and enthusiastic adjudicator, Ms. Le Minh Tu. The panel will undertake the design of questions and topics for the debate, giving candidates the opportunity to maximize their debate skills.

This March, Fulbright Debate Club is going to bring the debate community our prestigious old-yet-new tournament - “Fulbright Friendly Debate”. “Fulbright Friendly Debate” (FFD) is a Mini-tournament for students of Fulbright and neighboring schools in Ho Chi Minh city, organized by Fulbright Debate Club (FDC). FFD 2023 has come back, more exhilarating and thrilling than ever with the desire to develop an invaluable playground for the students who wish to get closer to Debating, as well as to meet up with like-minded peers.

One special thing about FFD is our spirit of learning and exchanging, which is considered as the ultimate premise of the tournament. There will not be any elimination round as only friendly debates are hosted, which allows every debater, including newbies, to participate in the most comfortable way. Besides, FFD also aims to create a strong base for large-scale nationwide Debate tournaments in the future, followed by opportunities to go professional for students all over Vietnam.

Tháng Ba này, Fulbright Debate Club (FDC) sẽ mang đến cho cộng đồng tranh biện giải đấu cũ-mà-mới đầy uy tín của chúng tôi - “Fulbright Friendly Debate”. “Fulbright Friendly Debate” (FFD) là một Mini-tournament dành cho sinh viên Fulbright và học sinh các trường trên địa bàn lân cận, tổ chức bởi Fulbright Debate Club (FDC). FFD năm 2023 trở lại, hào hứng hơn, nảy lửa hơn với mong muốn tiếp nối một sân chơi vô cùng bổ ích cho các bạn học sinh sinh viên muốn cọ xát nhiều hơn với Tranh biện, đồng thời gặp gỡ những người bạn cùng chung chí hướng.

Điểm đặc biệt của FFD là tinh thần giao lưu, học hỏi được đặt làm tiền đề của giải đấu. Giải đấu sẽ không có vòng loại mà chỉ có các cuộc tranh biện giao hữu, cho phép mọi tranh biện viên, kể cả tân thủ có thể tham gia một cách thoải mái nhất. Bên cạnh đó, FFD còn mong muốn tạo tiền đề cho các giải đấu Tranh biện quy mô lớn trên toàn quốc trong tương lai, gắn liền với các cơ hội chuyên nghiệp cho học sinh sinh viên trên cả nước.

OCTOBER’S ACHIEVEMENT COLLECTION - A NEW JOURNEY BEGINS

This October marks one of the most vibrant times in our debate community when championships of all scales were continuously held. Fulbright Debate Club takes pride in our members’ active participation and outstanding achievements in such a short period of time. Most notably, the club has successfully completed one of the big goals set out this year: Successfully Breaking an International Debate Championship.

TỔNG HỢP THÀNH TÍCH THÁNG 10 - MỘT CHẶNG ĐƯỜNG MỚI BẮT ĐẦU

Tháng 10 vừa qua là một trong những khoảng thời gian bùng cháy nhất của các tranh biện viên khi những giải đấu quy mô lần lượt được tổ chức. Fulbright Debate Club tự hào vì thành viên CLB đã tham gia tích cực và mang về loạt thành tích đáng tự hào trong khoảng thời gian ngắn này. Đáng chú ý hơn cả, CLB đã xuất sắc hoàn thành một trong những mục tiêu lớn đề ra năm nay: Thành công bước vào vòng loại trực tiếp tại một Giải Tranh biện Quốc tế.
